| DVDFab Gold Anyone have the real 3.0.2.0 version saved that does not have your key and would be able to email the file to people who request it by PMing you their email or PM me or maineman and we will help distribute it until site is fixed. We both already have Platinum. Mack

| Re: DVDFab Gold Disney strikes again! This perhaps should be a new thread, but there really isn't a lot of discussion that could take place. It's a "heads up" that may well be somewhere on the forum. I just finished downloading, installing, and registering DVDFab Gold. I've been using the older versiion on free trial for several weeks without any problems. So I loaded "The Tick" volume 1 put out by Disney and proceeded to try to split it. Everything looked norman = EXCEPT = there was nothing in the columes for the contents of the two disks. But the preview was running OK, so I clicked on Start, the preveiw stopped running, but the Start button didn't change and the DVD wasn't being read. I tried Main Movie only and got a DVD with one episode of some 300 MB written to the blank. Hmm. After trying reinstalls and such, a light finally went on. I put an older DVD - "Red Planet - in and voila! Split worked just fine. My conclusion is that Disney has some nefarious protection scheme to twhart copying which I hadn't yet heard about, so I'm posting this information in case someone else runs accross this problem. When I get around to it, I'll rip The Tick with DVD Decrypter, compress it with DVD Shrink and forget about all the Disney previews. "Coming soon to own on DVD." Phooey! Bob Johnson |
