DVDfab coasters...HELP!

Purchased Simpsons and Premonition (Dual Layer) DVDs. Backed up only the movie part successfully as an ISO file with FAB to my HDD. Tried to burn to Verbatim 4.7 single side, but keeps failing at Writing Leadin stage on both, with FAB. Has anyone done these before? IMG is doing the same thing. HELP!

Hi skylar. Please post a DVDFab burn log. More information is needed to be able to help you.

Re: DVDfab coasters...HELP!

I was having this problem with my HP840e burner. Stopped being able to read some disks, and would burn to hard drive but would freeze up at lead-in. After some research I found that it was an INTEL update that was causing the problem. If you've installed the INTEL APPLICATION ACCELLERATOR, then uninstall it as it's probably the culprit.
Mine is back to normal now since I uninstalled that program.

Yes, please post a burn log as my good friend signals suggests...
This will save you from hunting down your burner, firmware and media ID and at least help us get started.

Thanks for posting this info. Hopefully, it will help some other users.
I remember this coming up and being discussed some time last year (I think) and eventually it got buried and forgotten...you know how that goes.
Anyway, great post...

Spoke too soon, as I hadn't really tried the drive. Will not burn to -r media now.
I'd been using these disks for awhile now, and have close to 300 disks made from different branded +/-r disks: Sony, tdk, verbatim, maxell, and fugi. I've got 3 different kinds of disks now, and only the +r will work now.
Verbatim +r, and TDK +r. ALL of the others say that there's no disk in drive.

External drives sometimes need a cold reboot to re-read their firmware if things get scrambled. If you have not tried this, disconnect the drive from your PC and remove the power from it for a minute, then restart it and reconnect to your PC.
