DVDFab audio problem - Club CDFreaks

When I try to create backups of my DVDs with DVDFab Platinum, the video burns but I get no sound. Any suggestions?

Hi angelfairie--what mode are you using in DVDFab and what kind of player (PC or standalone) are you using? Are these regular movie type DVDs or things you've recorded off TV?

Maybe you choose DTS audio to backup, but your standalone DVD player doesn't support it?

My thoughts too, or maybe DTS has to be selected using menu/remote.

I have tried with the full mode, as well as the main movie. I have tried both with and without the DTS audio. They are regular movie DVD not tv stuff. The audio does not play on my PC or on any of my DVD players.

Have you tried clone mode. Also is this audio in the language where you are playing it? I did some that were in Italian w/ English subtitles and had to enable both when I played it on my standalone.

Nope, they are all in English and it isn't just one DVD, it is every one I have tried so far.

What player software do you have on your PC? WinDVD has an "Information" tab on its Setup box that will tell you if the audio stream is present and what its characteristics are. You could also take one of the discs that won't play audio and read it into DVDFab and see if an audio stream shows up in the screens for Main Movie or Customize mode. I have never had this happen and don't remember any posts in the forum with these symptoms that didn't turn out to be player related. Probably not a bad idea to go ahead and upgrade to the new version (3.1.1.0) also.

Hi Swany You've got no audio from the DVD to DVD modes (main movie etc.)?
/EDIT/ I just played a few minutes from two backups I've made with 3.1.1.0 and they are perfect. Used Customize/No Menus and selected only one audio track on each for processing.

US Canada is the region.
