Hi. I have had success backing up my kids dvds (which they often treat like frisbees) with the free dvdfab decoder. I am trying out dvdfab platinum 5.0 to see how well it works w/ my apple iphone and apple tv. When I copy using the iphone settings, it works great with my iphone. If I use that same file on my apple tv, the video is slightly degraded and the audio sounds extremely distant. I checked w/ dvdfab, but they have yet to get back to me. Can anyone recommend the best settings for use on an apple tv with hd video output and digital audio? Thank you.

There is an appleTV profile built in to DVDFab. You will need to use Customize UI to install it. There is a step-by-step guide with screen captures in the Tutorial that even uses AppleTV as an example. Here is a link to the page. Scroll down until you see the heading "Adding New Devices".
