I used the free version for a while before purchasing Platinum.

I downloaded DVDFab 5 I got the new code for my platinum version. However when i out it in stll says i am in trial mode. I did all the asterisks and all. Help please. Thank You.
BTW after 5 years this is the first problem i have ever had with this fine software and it's a minor problem that i know will be resolved here.

You are supposed to leave the asterisks out when you copy and paste the reg key numbers. Did you have the software installed first?

Please re read your e-mail with the instructions and look at instruction #3.

1. Install the latest version of DVDFab 5.x at



2. Launch DVDFab Platinum and click the "Enter Register Code" button in the Trial dialog.

3. Paste your registration key below EXACTLY excluding the asterisk

Quick Question.

I installed the beta 5.0 and registered it. However, I have decided to keep using 4.1.2.0 until the new is officially released. I uninstalled DVDFab 5.

Will I have any problems re-registering when the official version is out, or will I simply have to download like normal and not re-register?

@fengtao - do you have an answer as to whether Fab 5 can start up in decrypter mode, bypassing the trials etc?

I finally got it to register. I clean/installed it and it went then. Now i can't see the options for ipod etc.etc. It was there before

I would save my V5 reg key. Some uninstallers delete the reg information. Some do not. I use a third party uninstaller that deletes everything so if I had to download it again and reinstall I would need my reg key.

Same thing here, main movie, full disc, "BURN AGAIN" don't work. Bet it will in next beta. Otherwise wonderful program.

What burning option were you using when this happened? VSO, ImgBurn, Nero?

7th singer,i know. i guess i can live with it though. mostly all i'd use platinum for anyway is to copy to psp and stuff anyway so i guess it's not a big deal. anyway..

You need new key to use DVDFab 5 if you registered old version, please get it for free:

V5 new features are great! However, ran across an unusual problem. When copying to a +RW with prior files the burn doesnot complete and my WinXP went into hang mode waiting on the HP DVD740 to stop cycling in what appears to b a reading mode. Could not X out of V5 and had to reboot. I changed the burn engine to Nero 6.6 and used a fresh +RW with no problem. I'm in the process of doing a full erase of the +RW with files using Nero. (17 min to go I'll try again with VSO Engine and get back to the forum) The odd thing using Nero was the burn process completed in the command mode of XP. Also, I've kept Ver 4.1.2.0 installed until I'm sure all is well with V5...One drawback is a copy of my key doesnot work with V5. Is there a problem keeping both versions with my one Key in both?

Yup, some variation of this process works for most.
I simply double-click on the email attachment. I don't even have the app open at this point.
I just receive a prompt that it will be registered the next time I open it and eureeka...it's registered.

I know some folks have trouble though...not sure anyone has figured out this occasional glitch and only for certain users.

I have to vote with some others here that the new v5 interface should have more contrast, or a reversion to that used in version 4 (or better yet version 3).

The Clone Mode of v5 has a new option check box "Copy Original IFO Files". Can someone explain the purpose of this? Thanks.
