Yes. They are in playback order now as read from the IFO (with PathPlayer enabled). A big improvement.

Yes, I believe the "idea" did originate with you.
This "entitlement" mindset/culture continues to defy reason.
You have already, the best ripper out there...for free
and
the best burn utility out there, Img, again, for free.

Yet you find "reason" to whine and ask for more.
I'm not certain you can grasp this, but some people actually have to work for a living and if you're in business, this means turning a profit.

Re: DVDFab 5.0.0.0 Beta Discussion Thread

I haven't tried 5.0 beta yet as I'm going to wait for the official version. From the screenshots though, I'm not too crazy about the colors at all. Seems too pale and not enough contrast between the background and text. I like the previous version colors much better. If this is going to stay the default color, a choice of skins would be a good idea.

@FordMan
I'm using HD Decrypter 5 Beta and it does show the Check for DMA Automatically box and the Reset DMA button. Right below the Check for new version check box and button.

well first of all you can't burn dvd's using Fab Decrypter unless you get either Gold or Platinum,so unless i missed something, please explain, because i burn with DVD Decrypter not Fab Decrypter. 2ndly the idea was to do the "same" as gold and platinum. meaning burn dvd's,transfer to PSP/IPOD/etc. you can't do that on the free version. and 3rdly i'm not "whining" about anything. But regardless at least i guess you can thank me for coming up with the idea for this version.

Re: DVDFab 5.0.0.0 Beta Discussion Thread

The VSO burn engine is not needed correct? I elected not to install it when it asked me, as I always output to folder, and then burn with ImgBurn.

Also, how do I get the 5.0 DVDFab HD Decrypter? I installed the package and then registered my key, but now I don't have the option of opening my DVDFab 5 with the free version.

We all appreciate your input, but offering these options for free would not help the author sell his program. Many here have bought this program and are very happy with it, I believe that Fengtaos generous contribution of offering his decrypter for free is quite a nice gesture, again your input is appreicated, but someone has to pay for research and development or there would be no DVD Fab.

At this point it appears you cannot.

One could say that they both offer the same methods for ripping so there should be no reason to have both installed since the modes available should be exactly the same in both products so having both installed is redundant.

One reason I can see where it would be nice to be able to have the gold/platinum and free versions installed would be to have different versions installed of each. I might have a newer version of the gold/platinum installed and a prior version of the free installed.

Time will tell.

If you own a key to Platnium you really do not need the free decrypter, you can still output to a folder if you choose. If you really want the free decrypter just use the installer again and choose the free decrypter. I hope this helps.

Hi
If it was me I would just select the output folder in the main programs settings.
Already mentioned by alan1476.
But you could (my preference) select ImgBurn in the settings as shown below.
Note if you haven't installed the VSO option it will not show.

Re: DVDFab 5.0.0.0 Beta Discussion Thread

I have to admit I'm a little disappointed. I'm one of those people who were no longer able to rip to an iPod once version 4120 came out. I was hoping that this new version would fix whatever was wrong with 4120, but no such luck. Maybe when the official 5.0 comes out? In the meantime, I'll keep using the old 4102.

Has anyone ever figured out what the glitch is/was with 4120 (and now 5.0)? Judging by the posts on these boards, at least a couple people have run into these iPod problems.

Don't get me wrong, I love DVDFab Platinum, and I'm extremely happy with my old 4102. I'll just keep checking future updates to see if the iPod issue is resolved.

Thanks. My problem isn't an a/v sync issue, I just can't get my iPod to accept the files at all anymore. But I'll post over on the thread you linked to. I appreciate the fast response. Thanks again.

Has anyone ever had the DMA tell you that one of your drives is not running in DMA mode?

I never have but just curious as to anyone else.

BUG:
DVD5/9 size choice made on Customize screen1 is not preserved on Customize screen 2. This may be true for other 2-screen modes, I have not tried it yet.

Well i guess in a way you have a point. I was more or less speaking about the ones who could not afford it. If you can, feel free to pay. After all it's like 49 bucks i think,so you know what i'm getting at. But anyway,i'm sure one of these days i'll be able to get a key for Platinum but it might be a while

Sure it's not two DVD5? Sounds odd to me.

All you have to do is put some money aside. Set your priority's. $49usd is very cheap for what it does and what other apps charge.

Thanks for understanding bamahusker, I know it may be hard for someone to have the discretionary income for some of these programs, but this is a business and Fengtao tries as hard as he can to provide services to all. Compared to other programs 49.00USD is not alot for this all in one solution. While you are saving for the Platnium Version, use the free decrypter and whatever else you need to get the job done. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

No the burning and compression part is not free, it is only available with the Platinum or Gold Edition. Use what you have too, until you have the discretionary income for this product, its well worth the 49.00.

ok. one last question Alan. almost everytime i go to the free page to check on the updates of the program, and even as of today, there's a banner up at the top saying i can get a 10-30 dollar refund. is that instant? or do i need to fill out a form to get the discount? just asking.
