Re: DVDFab 5.0.0.0 Beta Discussion Thread

I think I have had DVDFab when it was version 3, and don't remember this doing that when we switched to DVDFab 4.x?

Would it be ok to uninstall DVDFab 4?

@fengtao

Is there any way the prog can startup in decrypter mode without having to press it? I mean, after a while, does it learn I don't want to start the trials?

Thanks for considering.

Regards

In the customize screen it doesn't have "Go to Main Menu"! Will this be added in an update?

Hi
Why?
If you use Nero or ImgBurn you don't need them.
I don't use PatinCoffin drivers ever.

Re: DVDFab 5.0.0.0 Beta Discussion Thread

Is anyone else having a problem when making more than one copy of a disc? After successfully burning a disc (using Customize options) I insert a new blank DVD & select "Burn Again", the program immediately says "process completed successfully" but doesn't actually do anything.

@fengtao

Sent you the latest italian language.

Installer.
In all installer language change "Premere" in "Selezionare".
If you need more help please send me the installer italian scripts and I will do for you.
Please Change in italian Installer "Install VSO burning engine" (additional tasks) in "Installa motore masterrizzazione VSO"

Use of programm.
Please use my latest version of italian language.
Please check that in main window "Disvisione personalizzata" doesn't have some problem on GUI.

In setup the sound file are showed with 8 bit path (ex. C:\PROGRA~1\DVDFAB~1\...) instead long Path (C:\Program Files\DvdFab 5\...)

In language file there is two rows that need more explanation

ID1069=Rewind when done playing
We are talking about DVD (and now VCR). Why rewind?

ID414=Task_%d failed! Error=%d
Is it Task_%d or Task %d (space instead _)?

I'm not using PatinCoffin drivers as well and Vista doesn't like them anyway.

Re: DVDFab 5.0.0.0 Beta Discussion Thread

Thanks for the new DVDFab 5 Beta. It looks great.

But I did found a mistake with following Config:

TSSTCORP DVD-ROM SH-D162D SB00 (same with other Drives)
Drive (Hardware) Region: 2

Booktype: dvd-rom (version 1), Layers: 2 (opposite)
Size of first Layer: 1830304 sectors (3574 MBytes)
Total size: 3284791 sectors (6415 MBytes)

Video DVD (or CD) label: Crime Insiders
Media is CSS protected!
Video Standard: PAL
Media is locked to region(s): 2

Operating System: Win XP Pro SP2 & newest MS updates

Try to explain the error:
DVDFab open DVD, then hangs up, with or without PathPlayer.
Can only chancel DVDFab.exe with Taskmanager, but impossible to
chancel DVDFab Process. Computer hangs total, shootdown not possible,
because DVDFab Process hangs.

Only the reset botton on PC usable. Other DVDs tested succsessfully!

This DVD has no unknown protections (?). It works fine with another
application and DVDShrink.

By the way: Please wake up, german translator...

Re: DVDFab 5.0.0.0 Beta Discussion Thread

The "Rewind When Done Playing" function plays the title(s) in a loop; when the final title ends, the player begins again with the first title with no user intervention. Useful for bedtime/travel videos for children, adverstising messages etc. "Rewind" is probably not the best English word for this either; "Play in Loop" or "Play Continuous Loop" describes the function better.

Rock & Roll...
About to take this puppy for a spin...can't wait!

Being an old fart, the only drawback so far for me is that the interface seems a bit bright to my old eyes...as a few others have said.
I do like both the new and old look though...maybe just tone down the brightness on the new one.

Outstanding work!

I agree. The luminance values of all the festures are too similar--needs more contrast. I like the other features of the new UI.

Be sure you have DVD-5 selected and not DVD-9.

Re: DVDFab 5.0.0.0 Beta Discussion Thread

One odd thing in my display is that while the new interface looks great, when I go to the settings, the skin is that of DVDFab 4. Any ideas as to what is going on with that? I do not think that is normal when looking at screen shots elsewhere in this thread. I did not uninstall 4.1.2.0 before I upgraded. I am a registered Platinum user and got the new key.

Re: DVDFab 5.0.0.0 Beta Discussion Thread

Very nice so far. Getting ready to give it a spin on an actual disc.

For the record, I prefer the darker/higher contrast UI of v4 better as well (maybe it is us older folks and tired eyes). Oh, and chalk another one up as glad the monkey stayed. Amazing how popular that little guy got, isn't it?

Re: DVDFab 5.0.0.0 Beta Discussion Thread

i think the idea for doing this might have come from me. I e-mailed them a few weeks ago and said that some people might not be able to afford Gold and Platinum so you shpould come up with a version that lets free users do the same thing that Gold and Platinum users do,only for free. i guess this is as close as they could come to this. But anyway... this has gold,platinum,and the free version all in one in the install.i hope one day i'll be able to afford platinum.

Re: DVDFab 5.0.0.0 Beta Discussion Thread

In Fab 5 the Titles list for Main Movie and Customize Split don't appear to be in any particular order. In Fab 4 thay are in size order. Is this intentional?

Great work, Fengtao and Ting!

Really do appreciate all the extremely hard work which you and the others in your team put into keeping DVDFab updated in this way.

My two girls also send their regards and thanks.

See you later then, and thanks again. Jim
