Read all of the options when starting DVDFab. I think that it is actually the next to bottom option but not sure.

So does this mean a person can no longer have both the free version and the Gold/Platinum version installed simultaneously as you could in the past?

Of course, I expect people to ask why on earth would want to do that but that question is beside the point. You used to be able to have them installed side-by-side and now it appears you cannot.

It has a much softer look now with the colour change which is nice but it's a bit on the bright side. To my eyes it could use a slight toning down on the brightness factor. Otherwise the new look is nice.

The new Customize Split works great. Here are two captures of the screens set up to split Lost, Season 2 Disc 1 to 2 DVD5s, all selections automatic and correct, menus work fine, even the Play All button and the output folders have the names I assigned to them:

That appears to be correct at least for this version of the installer. Please post in the existing thread for 5.0.0.0 so Fengtao can easily find all comments.

I just tried SPLIT on STAR WARS III and got a failed popup.
Task_1failed!Error=300. I tried Custom Split on Title 1 only - First disc chapters 1-25 were perfect but second disc chapters 26-51 without menus loaded in my standalone players went to ch 26 and stopped- could not get to play.

I have not tried the regular split mode yet. A page for the new Customize Split mode has been added to the Tutorial. It is not really designed for splitting a single title, but I think you could do it by putting the same title on both discs and using the Title Start/End Settings button to split the chapters between disc 1 and disc 2. I don't have III, maybe someone else that does can try this.
