Did you mean to have the subtitles selected? If you had none selected on the first screen but Direct Render to Video is still showing up, something is not right.

All the iPod profiles use AAC audio. Try the Generic H.264+MP3 profile, which should play on an iPod if you select the right screen size and stay within the bitrate that 'Pods will take (2500?).

I tried out the iPod H264 and it ran fine--about 48-50fps conversion rate from HDD Source so it may be title related.

Much like the problem we saw in XBox a couple of months ago, I find that no matter how I configure the conversion, the fps progressively slows until eventually the time to convert is unreasonable.

Usually, I convert from a source already ripped to the hdd, although I've tried a disc as source, both original and bkup as well.
Consistently, the fps progressively falls.



Unlike dond123, v.4.1.2.0 works flawlessly for me. (I think he meant to say he's still using 4.1.0.2).
Are conversions working well with 5.0.0.0 for others?

Anyway, here are my default settings for Ipod conversions
(like I said, I've played around with various configurations and devices, nothing seems to affect the fps degradation).

Actually, I've tried with and without sutitles and with a variety of settings and with a varied number of different sources...and you're exactly right, something is wrong.
No matter, whether or not I select/deselect subtitles, the "Direct Render to Video" shows up in v.5.0.0.0.
I just tried the device and configuration you suggested...no difference.
The conversion still proceeds and it's intact when viewed from the hdd, but when it plummets to < 20fps, I kill it.

Interestingly, v.4.1.2.0 remains glitch free...50-60 fps sustained, subtitles are displayed or not, appropriately.

This might be my first real glitch since Platinum 3.xxx was released...not counting our short-lived problem (thanks to Ting) with AC-3/1, seen in Tarzan and Bogie.

I'll fool with it when I get a chance. I've reinstalled 5.0.0.0, but that's it so far. No big deal right now.

You know, Mainmovie was set as the default. I've set it to Customize like I used in v4 and I'll have to see if that fixes it.

I think it *might* be because I had Mainmovie set as default in my UI. I've switched it to Customize (which is what I wanted anyway) and will have to try it later.

Hey OutlawPro, you nailed it! Nice pick up...
I have always had customize at the top and my settings stuck when updating from Fab 4 to 5.

I just tried what you suggested...main movie at the top and guess what...the program crashed, ie., just disappeared, no error message, no crash report prompt, nothing.

Just put customize back at the top and all's well...everything works just fine, including main movie .

A while ago i bought "DVD Region+CSS Free" - also due to the fact it was promoted to be entitled for "lifetime" free upgrades.

After a few unanswered e-mails to the author it turned out that lifetime probably means the product lifecycle. This was not mentioned (and violates law in my region since courts said that lifetime means 30 years at least) and frankly speaking, i felt (and still feel) screwed by this.

Before considering to purchase a further product i would appreciate a clear statement on how long this product will be supported and how long upgrades are available (for free).

If I had to I would pay again for dvdfab platinum. To me it's the best all in one dvd copy software.

thanks alan one more question how do you put dvdfabplat and dvdfabgold in different folders because all im getting is dvdfabgold not platnium i want both so how do i get both i paid for both

did you use the same email address for purchase of both versions. i have two platinum keys and they were both sent to me when i requested the v5 key.

you can not do this with the new dvdfab 5, the program is now all three versions in one. you can use only the free decrypter, or if you have a dvdfab gold key you can use the gold options, or if you have a platinum key then the program is fully unlocked. so if you have a platinum key you are also using the gold options.

DVD Fab Gold and Platnium are the same program except Platnium has more options, why would you buy Gold if you have Platnium, all you need is Platnium, Gold will give you nothing more.

Ok I sent the crash report for cloverfield. When it crashed on me I get 2 crash reports popping up. I wonder why no one else is getting them. Also but_your_face if you have 2 computers then install dvdfab plat on 1 and gold on the other

Would it be possible to add output to AC3 audio for a mobile device? Since the Apple TV supports this. I would gladdly move from handbrake to this if that was possible...

Just a thought but it would be nice if DVDFab had the audio option "Dolby & DTS". Right now you have to select either or so if you want both (who wouldn't) one will always be unchecked. Hope Fengtao reads this, it's a little thing but it would be good to have that option along with the two separately.

have you tried to set the preselected language to english then for multiple tracks of the same language select all tracks? dont know if this will do exactly what you are wanting but just might try it.

Several profiles have an Xvid or H.264+audiocopy mode that would copy the AC-3. Not sure what iTV requires in the way of file wrapper, etc.
