Yep top tip this, if the DVDfab cloner fails then mix DVDfab with ImgBurn. Incidentally neither 4.1.2.0 or 5.0.1.2 Beta will Clone my Star Trek Original Series discs. Each creates an ISO but is unable to enter a value for the layer break in the INI file. In each case it sets it to Zero. However strip the files and create your ISO and (in my case) Burn it with ImgBurn and you'll be in business. Looks like this may be my default way for Dual Layer backups for the time being at least.

It seems to be quite difficult to maintain consistency and reliability with this dual layer business - you get a system that works fine then for no apparent reason the system breaks and you have to move along to another process.

can't find the DVD FAb 5 board but anyway,i know someone said if i bought Platinum by May 8th,i'd get free updates for life,but i don't know if that means now that i didn't buy Platinum,the free version won't update either. if this is true,i'll no longer be able to turn off the protection as it is no longer updated. if i'm wrong on this,correct me but i don't want to go looking for a new program

I was wondering the same thing myself. Will there be a free version 5 of DVDFab decrypter? DVDfab is not one of my main tools but has always been something I recommend to friends to use because of the free nature of the base product.

yes mahoney. recently HD Decrypter,Gold,and Platinum are in one program now,but you can't afford Gold or Platinum,you can use the free one built in. I just didn't know due to the "no free upgrades on 5" if that meant the same for HD but i guess you do get updates on HD though. anyway...
