| DvdFab 4.0.5.5 does not read disc I'm new here, and don't see this issue posted. I tried to make a backup of just the movie of "2 Days in Paris" (U.S. version) using version 4.0.5.5 of DvdFab. To my suprise, dvdFab indicates that the dvd is only 44 MB in size and contains 2 only files: title 4 which is 7 seconds in length (warning screen), and title 1 which is 6 seconds in length (blank screen). Nothing else shows up. Tried using version 4.0.1.6 Beta of DVDFab HD Decrypter, and it shows 10 files, in which title 1 is listed as 1:40:07 (this is the movie). Was able to use this version to backup the movie. Anyone else experience the same thing, or have an idea what is going on. Thanks Steve |

sometimes when members upgrade to a new version there are problems within the download Tom a fellow member and friend calls it "VooDoo"  If you have a copy of your Registration Key try doing a "Clean uninstall of DVDFab" info on this is below in my signature there is steps for XP and Vista, it is not the normal uninstall it shows you how to find and delete files left behind Note--> Does not work all the time but it has helped many members, and don't forget to do a registry cleanup before re-installing DVDFab (From a new download not the one you already have) PS...and if you are talking about DVDFab HD Decrypter the steps should be the same

| Re: DvdFab 4.0.5.5 does not read disc Thanks, I'll try that. However, I have been using 4.0.5.5 for some time without problems. It is only on this movie that I have this problem. Since it was just released today (1/29/08), I wonder if they are employing some new type of copy protection scheme that 4.0.5.5 does not recognize. Steve |

However, the confusing aspect is that dvdFab HD Decrypter 4.0.1.6 Beta (an old version of the software) can read and backup the movie, while 4.0.5.5 and apparently 4.0.6 Beta of dvdFab can not. I note that ConfusedNeophyte has the same issue. |
