http://support.dell.com/support/down...1&fileid=63977 This is for Dell computers, but my advice would be to manually change the UDMA in the Device Manager if that is the problem.

| Re: DVDFab 4.0.2.0 Beta @speedyin2003: Then you must be using an IDE controller card. If you are running an IDE drive it has to be hooked up to something. Find your card in the Device Manger and see what Mode your devices is running in. I cannot read the language that your Device Manager displays but I am sure if the drive is connected and ran as you say, it has to be connected somewhere. ![]()

| Re: DVDFab 4.0.2.0 Beta @Speedyin2003: If you look in DVDFab's Common Settings Window, under the General section, you will find the check box for checking DMA automatically. Also below that you'll see the button for reseting the DMA. ![]() |

With regards to "Me, my self and Irene" - the good ol' DVD decrypter (last version) worked like a charm; DVDshrink was able to both identify the files as DVD files, reauthor and compress them. So whatever has been done to DVDfab HD decrypter (updating to latest beta didn't help), it isn't up to speed anymore on regular DVDs...

| Re: DVDFab 4.0.2.0 Beta Slightly off topic, but... I watched 28 weeks later, and Fantastic 4, rise of the silver surfer, after I had backed it up and every few minutes there would be some digitizing and frame freezes for a second. I need to watch some more to see if they're all like that, but I was wondering if I'm going to continue having these issues. I have been backing up my DVDs for a long time now and for the most part I've used DVD Shrink and AnyDVD without any problems whatsoever. I just recently switched to Fab. One thing I did just notice is that in my options for fab under the burning engine it was the VSO not my Nero. I have just adjusted that and I'll try some more later. Anyway, any feedback on this would be appreciated, anyone else experience a problem like this? It might get down to the point where I just rip with fab, and copy with shrink, we'll see. PS. I tried switching to NERO and it woulnd't burn, just got an error. I haven't come across the problem again, so maybe it was just a fluke? |

| Re: DVDFab 4.0.2.0 Beta Interesting error. I was backing up Grindhouse: Death Proof. The disc ripped fine, but when trying to use either DVDShrink or Nero Recode to burn the DVD, I either receive an error that: "Recode encountered and error. The DVD could not be imported becausethe navigation structure is invalid. Angle branches are incorrectly encoded." This occurs when attempting to do the movie only with Recode. Or when doing the full disc with either app (again on the import of the files) - a Visual C++ Runtime Library. "Runtime Error! The application requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Using FAB to burn appears to work fine (I haven't watched the backup all the way through yet, but it loads and starts fine). That seems to indicate a problem with Shrink/Recode interpreting Fab's output files, yes?

| Re: DVDFab 4.0.2.0 Beta I have a question. I have not had a DVD burning software since DVD X Gold several years ago. It always gave me a bunch of vector errors. I was looking at purchising DVDNextCopy Pro, but stumbled across this software. Could someone tell me the differences and which is better. I am assuming since this is a DVDFab board, that it is a biased opinion, but that is OK. I am simply looking at backing up movies I legaly purchased...nothing else too fancy. I just downloaded the trial tonight and saw that the promotional pricing ends tonight, so hopefully someone can respond soon. Thanks for you help in advance... |

| Re: DVDFab 4.0.2.0 Beta install issues The new beta 4.0.2.0 requires WMP11 to be installed for some DVD to Mobile devices to function properly. The message may be telling you that it is missing Not sure if this is related, as I do not have WMP11 and did not get the message. Quote:
@Bass4him DVDFab has a unique combination of simplicity and power. It is updated frequently and there are lots of active users in the forum who can help you . You might want to read the Tutorial on the dvdfab.com website. Use the trial for a few weeks to see if it meets your needs.

The WMV codecs installed by WMP11 are NECESSARY for correct running of DVD Fab so that is why you are getting the error messages. Why the concern on WMP11? It is a FREE download from Micro$oft and is a far better productthat WMP10?
