Yes I saw that and Thank you I tried that download and got the same error messages,but I will try that one again,but it didn't work the first time I was still getting the same error messages. I cleaned up my registry and everything before using it so it should have been a clean install.Third timeis a charm they say so we shall see won't we? lol

SO far so good, I backed up the covenant and it ran okay,that is a sony movie,Lets hope the next Lions gate or Disney one I do I get good results.I'll keep ya posted.

Hi,

I am getting the following error doing any type of DVD-to-DVD:

The disk is Scanners

Works fine with other disks and the Scanners disk plays normally.

My favorite is Flatulex.

Ok. I tried DVDFab Platinum 3.0.5.2 beta and get the same result. I even tried cloning to an iso first, same result in exactly the same place (~50% complete).

Any clues?

You could always try Beano, unless it's lactose-related. What read rate does Fab show on this disc, say 5 minutes into the copying/decrypting phase (Task 1), and is it any different for other discs that copy normally? I don't have Scanners to try, sorry. Error 400 covers a multitude of sins.

I think it is food related.

I am getting around 8Mb/s on average from this disk. My other disks seem to be doing the same. I even tried another MGM disk (newer) and it worked. Just not Scanners. This is the first and only problem I have had transcoding.

As signals said, error 400 covers a multitude of sins. Unfortunately, I don't own scanners either.
Have you tried main movie mode?
Just a thought, but in "common settings" > "Read" > try unchecking "Enable read-ahead cache". I'm pretty certain it's enabled as a default setting. You may also want to try "Ignore all reading errors automatically".

btw, you may want to consider alternative food sources...

HAHAHA LMAO Do you have the old DVD Decrypter by lightning_UK? If so, try reading with that. A buddy said he thought he had this title and would lend it to me for some experimenting, so maybe I can get that tomorrow and see what it does for me here. You sure get the award for most humor engendered by a forum name, and the heartfelt sig punctuates it nicely. I salute you.

If I remember right and it has been sometime since I searched, but when 39 follows Error 39 another program is causing a conflict. I think it was Nero or maybe Roxio. Google DVD error 39.

Alternative food sources are ok, as long as they do require ignition sources - no flaming cherries jubilee for me

re: Error 39 - I do not have Roxio or Nero on the machine that is doing the ripping.

But,

Here is where I am. I used DVDShrink on it and it completed ok. So, while I have a backup of my scanners disk, DVDFab could not do it. Protection of some sort?

Hi all, I am having a problem. I keep getting this error message Task_1 failed! Error=400(15 3 VTS_01_4.VOB 593174528 372736), I have tried to copy the full disc, clone and main movie selection and I still get the same error.

I also downloaded the new version and that didn't help so I went back to the old version and I still get the same message.

The movie that I'm copying is Da Vinci Code. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

What version of Windows are you running? Code 15 is a hardware resource conflict in Win95 and 2000, possibly XP as well.

Version 3.0.8.0 which I just upgraded to tonight -
Windows Vista Ultimate which I've been on for a couple weeks -
Tried to burn from harddisk (full disc) to DVD9 via VSO -
Received "error 100" and failure.
The previous version ran just fine, now on install and reboot, failure.
Please help!
