I have dvdfab 3.0.2.5 and when I was burning I got task_2 failed! error=116 It burned about a fifth of the dvd. The movie is the great raid.

Thanks for any suggestions

Please mention your burner too. I have the Pioneer DVR-111D converted to 111L 8.29 firmware. I even prefer this over my BenQ DW1655

I was using hypermedia and it didn't work now I'm using memorex and I have no problems.

Hi! first time here. I've been getting an error code:"Task_1 failed! Error=400(39 8 23 1 1886 1887 1886)". I recieved this on both beta and ver. 3.0.3.0. I'm trying to record, "An American Haunting", Unrated Edition, LionGate. I appreciate any help. Thanks

While trying to archive my copy of the same movie I experienced exactly the same thing. Hopefully someone has some idea how to overcome this.

Addendum to my previous note on "An American Haunting", (Unrated Edition) from LionGate: I was able to successfully archive the movie only without problems using DVD Fab Platinum version 3.0.3.0. I guess if I want to see the special features I'll have to use the original.

Surprised that you lucked out using memorex as they buy from other companies so you really do not know what you have until you check the media code. TY and Verbatim are a couple of brands that are dependable.

When I tried clone mode it hung up.

I usually use Full Disk to a DVD 5 SL TY -R 4X Disc. Get great results and buy them in bulk for 25-30 cents each.

(39 = bad device driver I found a couple of sites that will help with that:

You can google the other numbers searching for xp DVD Drive error 39 changing 39 to next number.

bigmacnc I tried that fix but doesn't work. but I shut down alot of programs through the task amnager and systems tray then it worked. so one of the programs that are preloaded is causing it. must be curropted because I haven't added any programs lately. Oh, before I did this I tried other dvd's and the all had the same problem until I removed all the non essential programs. Thanks for your help anyway

I am glad you got it fixed. Trouble shooting helps you learn even if it is frustrating at times, you feel good when problem is resolved. Just don't let too man locals that you can do it as everyone will want you to fix their computer.

i try copy again movie CLICK and at 68% of the task the mess for error 400 appear...what i do now....how can copy this movie...some one can tell mi what happen...i have last update 3033 beta

Try using DVDFab Decrypter to rip to HD, and close it. Then open Platinum and choose the file you saved to HD as source. Then burn complete disc to a SL disc.
