Dear all,

DVDFab products 3.2.1.0 is out (Oct 10, 2007):

DVDFab Platinum/Gold 3.2.1.0:

DVDFab HD Decrypter 3.2.1.0:

What's New:

* New: Improved logic for "Enable PathPlayer when necessary".

DVDFab will not enable PathPlayer in normal cases when opening DVD. Once DVDFab detects a reading error when copying DVD, it will ask user to restart DVDFab to reopen the DVD by using PathPlayer. In this way, DVDFab has the ability of opening DVD as fast as before, and uses PathPlayer when really necessary.

* New: Added support for a new CORE X2 protection.
* New: Added display of drive, disc and protection info in "Settings -> Info" window.
* New: Added display of PathPlayer scanning result in "Settings -> Info" window.
* New: Added "Save IFO Files" feature in "Settings -> Info" window.
* New: Do not rely on Windows file system completely when opening DVD.
* New: Improved "Reset DMA" feature on Windows 2000/XP.
* New: Updated language files.
* Fix: Compatibility problem with some Plextor drives, like PX-760A, PX-760SA, etc.
* Fix: Error 400(100 0 3 701) when copying DVD in certain cases.
* Fix: Error 400(20 14) when copying DVD in certain cases.
* Fix: PathPlayer may remove playable content in certain cases.
* Fix: A crash problem when opening DVD in certain cases.
* Fix: Bitrate is wrong when using 2-pass encoding mode for "DVD to Mobile".
* Fix: Several minor problems.

I love the new Info window! But i think theres a bug in it on Evan Almightly because it says "Structure protection (ARccOS, RipGuard, etc.) is removed!", but I know it does not have ARccOS because this movie is easy opened and backed up with Dvd Shrink alone.

That just means it was not detected and if it was it was removed. This disc has no ARccOS, or RipGuard.

On a back up dvd it says "Structure protection (ARccOS, RipGuard, etc.) is not found." so I thought that this message meant it was not detected.

I just installed the new version and now I can't open any DVDs on either of my drives. The "Open DVD source" dialog just keeps repeating over and over.

What DVDs have you tried? Maybe new PathPlayer feature is enabled, and it need several minutes to open a DVD.

They were just some older Disney DVDs - "Return to Neverland" and "The Three Musketeers."

I reinstalled version 3180 as a (hopefully) temporary workaround and it worked fine.

Having some issues with the new build and recognizing dual layer discs. I've tried several DVDs which require over 5GB of space to clone. When I start the clone process I'm warned by the program that the disc I have is dual layer but the output only requires a single layer disc. That can't be right.

Also it repeats the warning just before the burn is supposed to start, which is kind of annoying because I tend to wander off and then come back expecting a disc to be ready but it's still stuck at the start of the burning phase. I was wondering if there was a fix for this?
