Region free+CSS free still works fine for me. This is only a guess but it seems that the program will be updated when needed. With Vista coming out soon I am sure Fengtao is hard at work trying to make all the products the best they can be.

No Region does not work for some of the newer dvd's. It has not had an update for protection since August.

Ummm, yeah..... Maybe I wasn't clear in my original post. I was burning directly from disc and Nero choked. So, umm, yeah, it was buring from a folder, as it ALWAYS DOES when there is only one DVD drive in the machine. Nero always worked before in this fashion and VSO didn't. Now it happens vice-versa. I also would tend to think that Burning from a folder would work regardless of the driver involved, so I'm not sure if you missed what I meant or just put out that post without considering what you were saying.

radioresearch, did you get the Nero command line to work in DVDFab? No matter what I do, it will not work for me. This is when trying to burn from a folder. Fentago, do you have any suggestions?

First time user of DVDFab - it decrypted OK and put file on harddrive. I am not able to change the 'source' and 'target' fields. The source still says "please insert DVD .... ' and the target contains the C: folder where the decrypted file sits. I can see the file from the 'file button', but thats as far as it goes. what am I doing wrong ??

To read a file, click on the "folder" icon to the right of the Source drop down box. Same procedure to write to folder, but use icon to the right of Target and choose "folder" for writing DVD files and "folder with disc" for writing ISO.

Tried 3.0.5.0 for the first time tonight and the same problem was there as on all the earlier versions.

Error 400 when reading from the Sony DVD ROM DDU1622 but no problems when reading from my NEC DVD RW ND-3540A.

This has been the same on all the Version 3 programs.

Sonys are usually rebadged Liteons, I am not sure about that specific burner though. Very picky readers.

Fair enough, but it worked perfectly on the earlier versions of DVD Fab. It's only caused problems since Version 3

Try the new beta V3.0.5.1 and see how you make out, you might be pleasantly surprised.

I'm new to the forum, but subscribed to submit you my concerns about DVDFab Platinum ver. 3050.--> I was exalted with the former version i tried so far (3.0.4.0) until i upgraded (Very intuitive and useful interface ). From that time, a lot of bugs got out : install hanged out, sometimes copy stopped in the middle of writing, otherwise copying worked without any problem but copy was unreadable, Copy in DL (DVD9) stopped in the middle (3$ x 2 in the basket). My trial period stopped there.
I really want to buy the software, but i'm not comfortable with the quality and stability of the software after each version...
Why do we still encounter those basic bugs at this point ? It seems to have a real problem with regression tests before getting out a new version.

Your advice please ...

I've found a bug in the platnium version, possibly all. If you check the shutdown computer after box then uncheck it...it still turns the computer off. Actually had it shut down my computer without touching the box at all once or twice too.

Never heard about such problem from any member so far you can email the author see what answer he/she might give you.

I purchased and registered a full version of DVDFab Platinum on 5/27/07.

I inserted DVD into drive and get the message "DVDFab Platinium - The disc contains CSS protection. This version of DVDFab Platinium cannot copy it. For more information, please contact with css@dvdfab.net."

Since I purchased a full version, does anyone know why it doesn't work or what I'm doing wrong?

Not sure why you resurrected an old thread, but no matter.
It seems that you inadvertantly downloaded from the wrong site, probably from Fab.net (non-CSS, and exists for legal reasons)) instead of Fab.com.

BTW, Fengtao always posts the most recent beta versions and links to the most recent final versions right here on the Fab forum.
Look at or near the top for the sticky threads.
