Fengtao, the same problem exists in this version. I backed up two single layer DVDs without any issues, then I tried to backup a dual layer DVD (Akeelah and the bee) and the computer froze, no error messages whatsoever. I then restarted, opened DVDFab Platinum, it reenabled DMA, and now I am trying again.

To any people out there that are testing Platnium 3.0.2.0. Would someone please try to backup an episodic disc in full disc mode using all default setting and let me know if you were successful. I would appreciate it. Any dsic like " Lost" or Sopranos or some discs with episodes.

I won't get around to it until Monday, but I'll post back for sure.
Just an FYI, I've done 20-25 episodic discs (with the later beta's and with v.3.0.1.0...used cone mode and very happy with results.

Were you looking at SL or DL bkups?

You have to exit out of these programs not just disable them. If you just disable AnyDVD you will still get the message that they are detected.

Not sure what kind of info you are looking for, but I have burned 2 sets of episodic DVD's in the past 2 days using full copy mode and defaults, had no probs whatsoever .........

Sets Burned were ROME season 1 and Carnivale season 2 both by HBO
Both Burned to Verbatim DL +R disc

Don't know how this info helps you, but if you have any specific questions I will be happy to do what I can.

Thankyou very much. It seems that it is my system that has a conflict somewhere. The discs are not compressing correctly. It works perectly on regular movie backups but for some reason it will not compress to under 4.7 gig in full disc mode on edisode discs. I will sort it. Thankyou for your help.

I have AnyDVD installed but not running at start-up and I never get any message from DVDFAB regarding ANYDVD?

Still wish one could select the recording speed in general settings so the process, if one is using two drives, would really be one-click!!

Do not wish to double post.

Then you will never see the message if you do not have AnyDVD set to run at start up. It is only when you have it run at startup and then you have to "exit" out of the AnyDVD not just disable it. If you just disable it you will still see the message.

First, I must say that this the best update in the couple of years I have had this program. Well done Fentao....

Question:
When you select "full disk copy"
at the bottom you can choose between "DVD-9" & "DVD-5" and one says 100% and the other say 82%. I picked the 82% and it put on 1 DVD (in the past when I burned this movie it made me put it on 2 DVD's). Now if I have picked the "100%" would it have put it on 1 DVD? I don't really know what DVD-9 & DVD-5 is anyway...

DVD-9 is double layer (9,6 GB) and DVD-5 the normal one (4,7 GB).

Then from what you are saying, If I pick DVD-9, I would have to burn to a DL 9.6GB disk.

Is there a way to take a movie that is burned to 2 dvd-5 and burn it to 1 DVD-5 using gold's new compression type?

I'm still having a problem with DVDFab Decrypter v3.0.2.0. When i have Virtual CloneDrive running, DVDFab Decrypter detects it as AnyDVD. Is there a solution to this besides terminating the process?

Hi dA CLOwN, According to Fengtao this is now fixed in 3.0.2.0. If it is still popping up I would recommend complete removal and re-install. I don't have this problem on my setup.

Copied a Disc from Sopranos Season 3 using 3.0.2.0 with no problems.

Full Disc Mode
Compressed to DVD-5
Output Disc Media: Verbatim DVD+R
DVD Writer: Samung GSA-4166B

Verified that all Menus and Special Features were accessible and worked properly!

Thankyou all who tried to help. I found that this is only happeneing with one set of Discs I bought. Lost Season 2. The discs do not compress to under 4.7 gig so they cannot be written to. I will post a log it is as clear as day.
