| DVD won't play I am using a LiteOn LH-20A1H dvd burner and DVDFab Platinum 4. I tried burning a DVD to a DVD-R using the Full Disc mode, VSO burning engine, and the recommended speed. The program copied the movie to my computer and burned it with no problem and no error codes. However, I tried playing the dvd in multiple players and they wouldn't read the disc. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. |

| Re: DVD won't play What is the Brand and the MID code of the media you are using? What is the brand of your DvD player? DvD players can be pickey about certain brands of media. You can try looking here to see if there are any issues with certain media with your DvD player. http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers  |

| Re: DVD won't play In addition to psword's ^ advice : Please post a burn log. The default location is: C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator Name\My Documents\DVDFab\Log (This will give us a good deal of info...MID, burner, firmware, burn speed,...) In the interim, In Common Settings > DVD > Write > select a definitive burn speed, (not recommended, etc.,) A good rule of thumb is 1/2 the max speed of your burner or 1/2 the max rated speed of your blank media...whichever is slower. Write Type of DVD-R Media > SAO

| Re: DVD won't play Nothing on the disc?...wonder what was happening for 14 minutes... Defintely change to SAO and reduce your burn speed to 8X. So when you put this disc in your burner, it reads as 0 bytes? If it's truly blank, you should be able to use it. As suggested, drop it in nero cd-dvd speed and see if the disc is "closed". If you don't have it, there's a link in my sig. Also, recommend you change to some quality media... Your CMC MAG. AM3 media is described as, "...pathetic garbge media, landfill material..." Sorry, not my words and don't shoot the messenger. Hard to go wrong with Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim. I didn't search firmware for your litey, but you may want to see if there's an update available..
