I do not think DVDFab does PS2 backup's. This is a DVD Movie Back-up utility that can convert to PSP format for watching DVD movies off the memory stick. I think you are looking for another type of back-up utility that does games. You will also need a mod chip in order to play burnt games.

You should only use DVD-R media with high quality standards for PS2 games. I think we are finished with this thread since it is off topic for the DVDFab forum.

Hi TheMan#1, Thanks for your quick reply. Fengtao have told me that I can back up ps2 games with there software. The mod i will be using is the "slide card pro" (does not need any internal mods).

Quote from Fengtao features of DVD Platinum;

"Clone" to make perfect 1:1 bit-to-bit copies. Ideal for dual layer DVD copy, or for PS2 data DVD.

Thanks, Peter.

Re: DVD PLATINUM & PS2 BACK-UP GAMES

I have never tried DVDFab for that so I'm unsure but if Fengtao says it can then it can. Use DVD-R media that is real good quality(verbatim if possible). I have been using another program for this so I'm excited to try this one out on PS2 myself.

I guess that DVDFab can get passed the Lybcrypt protection that is on PS games. This is cool but will have to try myself to see.

You certainly know more than me with regards to this matter and I will keep an eye open

Like I said fengtao have stated in a previous post that this is capable of backing up successfully. So looks like they have passed the lybcrypt

Thanks, Peter.

I have sent you a private message on some steps to making a perfect back-up of ps games. Just some points of interest on backing up PS games that I have ran into over the months. Might save you time and money on bad disks. Hope this helps!

Barry, Fab is definitely capable of making PS2 backups. I use the Clone mode and use Verbatim -R discs with no problems.

Hi aust3333,

Many thanks for your swift reply I will now go ahead and try some back-ups before my son really makes coasters out of these darn expensive overpriced games.

Thanks again, Peter.
