| DVD Fab Express -- It completes the burn but will only play in my computer. I need your help. I've done a search and I couldn't find anyone with this problem in this forum. I am having issues with playing my DVD's that I burn with DVD Fab Express in my DVD Players. This seems to mainly happen when I attempt to burn the main movie only. The bottom line is that it completes the burn without any issues; however, it will only play on my computer not on anyone of my 6 dvd players. All my dvd players will play all formats and have in the past. But for whatever reason it rejects DVD Fab Express. Are my settings correct? What am I doing wrong? I don't have this issue with DVD Shrink although for whatever reason my DVD Shrink now takes 2 plus hours to burn a DVD. But, that's a different issue. Please help! |

| Re: DVD Fab Express -- It completes the burn but will only play in my computer. Cheap media is not always bad because you can buy quality in bulk, so look for quality like TY or Verbatim Make sure the FW is up to date and media has been tested on the brand of equipment that you use. | Re: DVD Fab Express -- It completes the burn but will only play in my computer. First off, check DMA, follow Womble's guide here. If your problem(s) persists, as platinumsword and Mack have said, it is very likey poor quality media (or poor compatiblility) and perhaps inappropriate burn speeds. I don't know why anyone would use poor quality media, even if it's playable, in a few months or so you'll be re-burning cuz it Won't play... You can get top quality media like TY or verbatim for about $0.25 each, delivered...a little more for +R.We'll need details, such as MID (media code...you can get this from Nero CD-DVD Speed , just click on the disc info tab), burner, firmware, burn speed, etc., in order to offer specific advice. Lastly, as far as ditching express... Express is the easiest, most efficient ripper-compressor-burn app that I've ever used. Truly, one click...Set It and Forget It! BTW, I happen to like AnyDVD and shrink...I have them both...but to use the words of another cdf's member (deadman), you'll have to claw express from my cold, clammy hands... ![]()

| Re: DVD Fab Express -- It completes the burn but will only play in my computer. I agree with Tom (maineman) that Express is truly a 1 click program and for me buying a DVDROM I don't have to change the discs now. Reliability is very high. I have tried several other programs, but keep returning to Fab Platinum. I look forward to Platinum 3.0 because fengtao told me that the will be more options to play with. Mack

| Re: DVD Fab Express -- It completes the burn but will only play in my computer. I can just repeat what maineman and bigmacnc said: if the burned DVD plays fine on the computer and the standalone still refuses it the reason is 99 % bad quality media and/or too fast burning. This has been discussed too many times, with 16* drives and 16* media use 8* speed, beleive me. |

| Re: DVD Fab Express -- It completes the burn but will only play in my computer. I can attest to the media comments. I used to use maxell brand since they were always cheap, but I had a lot of bad burns. Then one day when I went to find the FW for my burner I saw on the mfg site that they specifically said they do not support using maxell media. Once I switched to a different brand I am getting a lot better results. I would suggest buying a small 5-10pk of quality media to see if you get better results. |
