Several versions ago, when the GUI went from the old style to the newer look, I had a problem. Fengtao e-mailed a response on this forum AND he personally e-mailed me with a cure. Anyone got that kind of assistance from Nero or the likes? Don't think so! I used to hang around another similar forum but due to the sniping and sarcasm that has taken hold, I've moved on to this place. The assistance given here is without equal! Just witness this thread...Keep up the atmosphere folks. It's appreciated by most.
Here. Here. Well said. I believe you are expressing the sentiments of MOST members in this forum.

dskiff makes a very good point that most problems with DVDFab are due to user error in using the program or the computer. I can think of many other issues that have nothing to do with the performance of the software such as hardware incompatabilty, conflicts with other software etc.
If most members in this forum use Windows xx you know how many problems we have all encountered. Does Bill Gates send u an personal email or addresses your specific problem in a forum? Do they offer a refund? Do they offer you free lifetime upgrades? Dream on.
I think you DVDFABSUX should retract this posting and state what your problem is. Or simply disappear.

Re: Don't buy DVDFAB

I couldn't agree with the concenses more. This forum has been so very helpful and the people that make up the the majority so very kind to me in the past. I had problems with Fab Decrypter and after 47 threads everyone here helped me to clear my problem up. Is that patience and kindness or what! And they helped me figure out that it was my burner at fault and not the program. So my hats off to this forum and to a great program and author. There are no stupid questions. That's how we learn. I hope DFS takes a little lesson from these responses, it'll be a first step. Thanks everyone

Re: Don't buy DVDFAB

Just thought that I'd come out from under my stone, and send my first post. DVD Fab Platinum is really good, in my opinion. Done all I've asked it to do. My 'puter is a home-built affair, with a NVidia Gforce 6100 Mobo, AMD Sempron 1800 Mhz CPU, and 500Mb of generic Ram.
My DVD burner is about 6years old, and I use budget DVD's ( £15/100).
The long-winded point which I'm trying to make is that DVD Fab gets past all these hurdles all right, and does a good job for me.
Another curious point is that I kept the note I got from element 5, and when a new update comes out, be it beta or whatever, I just click on Fengtao's link, and the new version instals with no problem at all.
Anyway, thanks again for such a tight piece of code, Fengtao, and thanks to all those regular posters who have unwittingly given me lots of advice on this forum. See you all later, then. Jim ).

Dear Micheal: This forum is about helping and learning. Your post adds nothing of the sort. I am asking you politely to stop this kind of action. If I see something like this again, I will put a stop to it. If you have nothing positive to add please do not post at all. Thankyou.

Re: Don't buy DVDFAB

I want to add to this thread as it is so bad now. I own the platinum series and it has it's flaws there is no true all in one the author does fix the bugs that are in it when or if they are found. I for one never experience a problem myself yet, knock on wood. So it is a well made product.

The "...the other 30 posters..." to whom you refer, were expressing their "...freedom of opinion..."
Yes, it is that same freedom that you apparently, lay claim to...at least when it suits your needs.

The "30 posters" either stated their wish to help the OP or disapprove of his rant or both. Your criticsm of them makes absolutely no sense. The OP's comments were disparaging, rude and without any substantive value. Moreover, his handle borders on obscene and is offensive. Yet, you defend his right to freedom of opinion, your right to insult the "30 posters", but NOT the right of these same posters or anyone else to respond to your post. Again, this makes absolutely no sense.

maineman and Dr. Who, I understand that you are both trying to help and I thankyou but even responding to this kind of post just makes it worse. Than others chime in and it turn into a flaming thread of no use to anyone. So I ask you to ignore people like the above and let me handle them. You guys do a great job helping the posters that actually have problems, keep up the good work and leave the malcontents to me. Thankyou.

Re: Don't buy DVDFAB

My apology-
I purchased DVDFAB GOLD a couple of years ago and had nothing but trouble with it. I decided to give it one last chance. I updated my software ( free ) and it has worked FLAWLESSLY. It seems that the makers of DVDFAB have worked out all the bugs and now have a product that I would recomend to anyone who wants an easy to use product. I should have updated DVDFAB and gave it one last chance BEFORE I got on here and talked trash about it.
I am man enough to admit when I am wrong and I alologize. This will be my last post under the name DVDFABSUX !

Re: Don't buy DVDFAB

I am such a sucker, when I see these kinds of posts. I just had to look, like a train wreck- car crash kind of thing.
All I can say is that Platinum works so good, it's almost illegal.(tongue firmly planted in cheek).

Re: Don't buy DVDFAB

Here, Here to you exDFS. I'm happy to hear that you have resolved your issues with this program and the authors. I hope you will find that it truely is an outstanding program, AND like any program of it's kind, it's a work in progress. That Fengtao is constantly updating and improving the many features. And if you do run into a problem with the software, bring your issues to the table and we'll all set a spell and hash it out. That's what we here do best. There's a lot of VERY smart people here. So good luck and happy burning. ~ Mike

Re: Don't buy DVDFAB

I've been utilizing DVDFab for over two years. It works better than any program there is currently available (personal opinion). With the industry constantly changing encryption programs it is a difficult task keeping up with them. However, these guys are constantly upgrading and repairing their program and you get it for one price, for life.

I only hope the people that designed the program are younger than myself. That way my lifetime will end before theirs!

By reading through the threads here I've learned so much that methinks if/when a problem crops up with my DVD Platinum I've already seen the solution in one of the threads. All I gotta do is follow instruction given by someone smarter'n me, eh?

Hi Fengtao,

I am of the same opinion. it would be great if we could upgrade our now obsolete CSS region free and dvdidle to DVDFab. Note that I am nor asking for free upgrade although it would be nice anyway.

Kind regards.
