+discs only

Hi i have been using dvdfab for a long time and am very pleased with it, now i have hit a problem not sure if it dvdfab fault. i have just upgraded my motherboard and processer to a jetway m2gt4-sog and a amd duo core processor, now dvdfab will only successfully write to +discs, -discs burn but cannot be recognised by players comes up unknown disc, i have a pioner 110d writer, and have the latest firmware, i have lots of -discs and a player that only plays -discs, what sould i do upgrade to a better rewriter? also my motherboard supports sata? i noticed that some burners connect to a sata would it solve my problem?

Can't think of why anything you changed would cause a problem only with -R discs. It sounds more like a media or Common Settings issue. Check all your Common Settings to see if anything has changes and that you have SAO selected as the write type for -R discs. They may notbe finalizing properly. What happens when you try to read one of these with DVDFab? You might also look at one with one of the disc information tools and see if it reportes it as "closed".

/EDIT/ For some reason v3.1.0.5 did not preserve my Common Settings when I installed it.

Re: +discs only

After changing my cpu not too long ago myself, I can say that it won't effect Fab's performance except to increase the read speeds and shorten the time it takes to read the disk. Also I too have SAO picked in my common settings as signals advised. Signals, I checked to make sure my settings were still there and they were. I wonder what happened? ~ Mike
