Delayed subtitles using Generic AVI

so I got 3:10 to yuma and was unable to get DVDFab to burn it to .AVI using 4.0.3 (i think)? and then I upgraded to 4.0.5.0 and I was then able to burn it. However, when I burn it to Generic AVI:

1. select generic
2. select chapter wtih 2:02:21
3. select 5.1 audio
4. select english subtitles
5. click next
6. configure 3:10 to Yuma
7. select Generic
8. Select generic.avi.xvid.audiocopy
9. select high quality 2-pass
10. select fixed bitrate
11. select no split
12. select 2075 bitrate
13. select 'same as source' framerate
14. select 'same as source' audio bitrate
15. select Extract to idx/sub file
16. click OK
17 click Start

when I try to play the file from my computer or from my my XBMC boxes and/or my MediaPortal PC the subtitles are way off, they are about 1-3 minutes off. I then tried another move like Home Alone and did the same settings and the subtitles as spot on. I tried 3:10 to Yuma again same settings same thing. Next time I did 3:10 to Yuma to an ISO and the subtitles played just fine - what is wrong? I burned another movie today 'Arrival' and the subtitle was just fine

any suggestions?

Re: Delayed subtitles using Generic AVI

No, Mr. Bond I have not. I have 3:10 and was going to put it on my Archos tomorrow. I don't normally include the subtitles but will try a couple of chapters with them on and see what happens. Are you using the "Direct Render to Video" or "Extract to idx/sub File" option?//EDIT// Just saw that you are using Extract. I will try it that way too. The last time I tried this it worked fine. I normally use Direct Render to Video if I really want them.
