Copying Non DVD Files

Question about copying non dvd files. Non DVD files are the computer extras of the DVD. When ripping with DVDFab you can select "Copy non dvd files" it puts these in the folder as extras.

However, when you copy you simply use the Video_TS folder, wouldnt that in turn not copy these "Non DVD files"? If you simply used the whole folder instead of the Video_TS folder would IMGburn burn with the non dvd files, and make it the same as the original disc when loaded into the drive to watch?

Thanks

Re: Copying Non DVD Files

I am kind of experimenting with this. I ripped the folder with "non dvd files" and one with just the video_ts file. I burnt the one that I ripped with "non dvd files" and they didnt show up. Just the audio_ts and video_ts. Is it possible to burn "non dvd video files"? I assume these are the popup screen some movies have that lead you to there website and/or interactive features?

I believe it comes up as Jacket_p folder. I used one big folder as my source, which had audio_ts, video_ts, and jacket_p. The result was the interactive popup not showing up on the burnt dvd and the jacket_p folder being gone?

Any ideas on this?

Re: Copying Non DVD Files

"Clone" mode may keep non dvd features, but what about those using IMGBurn or customize or another program?

When simply ripping to the HD the "non-dvd files" are transferred to the folder however, they didnt burn when I copied the entire folder in customize. It didnt keep the "non-dvd files".

Re: Copying Non DVD Files

Just rip the whole dvd and add the other files to the new compilation, then burn.

What do you mean? I did this by selecting both options on DVDFab Decrypter (Video_TS, and copy non-dvd files) and it gave me three folders. Audio_TS, Video_TS, Jacket_P. However, when I burnt the folder, it did not give me the non dvd files, and the output just had audio_ts and video_ts.

Re: Copying Non DVD Files

Hi,

If you copy Non-DVD files, you need use DVDFab to burn, or other burning software which can burn Non-DVD files, since some DVD burning software will only burn VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders.

Best Regards,
Fengtao
