And that earlier postings by the authors saving "drive has been revoked" are misleading.
the only way that an updated version of the program could work woudl be if they got hold of a different key, but then it would only be a mtter of time before that one was revoked also.
Hence recent statements from the authors that no commercial ripping solution is viable for now.

I plan to just stay with regular dvds until copy & key protection becomes less onerous. From other background reading, I'm getting that unless you have a 40 inch or larger screen, or eagle eyesight, you won't see the difference anyhow. ( & my eyesight is crap! ), and for folks who want to rip & convert to watch on tiny 3 inch handheld screens, the whole HD / blu ray thing is pointless.
If the driver does not get revoked from playing the HD or BR disc's then maybe there is a way to use the same key the drive uses to access those disc, can't see them revoking all the drivers

It's not that simple - there's a comtinous complex exchange of keys going on between the Dvd , the dvd drive & the dvd player software as the movie decrypts. It is designed to prevent any snooping / coping of the digital exchanges.

There are also future plans to stop any hi def content reaching your TV screen or display device unless all analogue outputs (like scart outputs) are disabled. that has not been implemented yet, but it will be switched on in future, then you'll have to change your TV to one with no analogue ports ( planned for 2013 I think)

that's there to prevent you making analogue copies e.g. to video tape, or feeding the analogue signal to a PC video capture card. It's "their" bits n bytes & they're gonna do all they can to sop you maniulating them in any unapproved ways.

Never said it would be simple

Re: Copy Blu-Ray > Hard Drive no longer works LG drive

I think the Revoked Argument may be a Non valid point as i think some are able to use this software and Rip HD DVD and BluRay.
But is seems if you use a LG Drive no matter what model it will not work with this software. As i have found after calling LG and Talking to their tech support as they confirmed that they have had countless calls about LG drives not working with the Program DVDFAB HD even the tech i talked to on the phone said his drive would not work with the software.
It maybe that they have Revoked the Drive but all of them?. And other drives on the market have no problem it seems strange to me!.
I think their is some other issue with the software that is making it not able to read this drive.

Re: Copy Blu-Ray > Hard Drive no longer works LG drive

I have installed a TOSHIBA UDF2.5 Reader File System Driver for my Virtual Drive, As i was never able to view the contents of the file structure of a HDDVD Ripped File in a ISO format in window Xp. I am able to view them now. If i have a ISO Image of a File why is this program not able to see that either?.
