Can DVD Fab copy a copy of a movie?

Hi, Just rejoined this site reason My MSN E-mail wen't corrupt and can't not retrive my password, anyway's recently downloaded the DVDFab4 trial version and was just wondering if it can copy a copy of a DVD movie, for some reason is telling me that it has no media, and it has I know that for sure.

Tried to copy a non copy DVD and it was OK.

Any help would be appreciated. FabGold states that it can clean a partiall scratch movie and trying to test it before I buy It.

Thanks

Ralph

Yes. But, I use DVD Decrypter because it's just so much easier and faster.

Re: Can DVD Fab copy a copy of a movie?

Sure...
In contrast to the ^ post, I've found Fab to be much faster. Plus, it's a one-click process and as a result, much easier

If you're unable to open a bkup disc, try disabling PathPlayer (assuming it's enabled).
If PP is enabled, then try disabling it.

I'm guessing the default setting in Gold is Enable PP when necessary. Sorry, I've never used Gold as I have Platinum.

Re: Can DVD Fab copy a copy of a movie?

Thanks for the replies, but so far nothing is working right with trying to burn the copy of a old burned DVD disk, now getting error 400 (4.3 ) whatever that means, thought that it should burn a already stripped from it’s CSS encrypted mode. The software works great with a regular DVD that it has not been burned, it does not make sense so far. Tried enabling the Pathway etc to no avail.
Any other suggestions

If dvd disc is already been decrypted, then you should be able to make a copy using a burn program, such as Nero, using the Copy DVD function.

You are 100% right, but trying to get DVDFAB to copy it since have problem playing the DVD due to small scratches even after I cleaned it. The site states that it sort of copies scratched dvd's , so using the Trial version to see if it does, that is all I want DVDFAB for, have other DVD burning softwares.

Software won't help you with reading/ripping a scratched disc. My Samsungs are good readers/rippers but they are slow. I don't mind if it get the disc read/ripped.

yes i have a S183L and a S203B both are SATA drives but i believe the IDE (PATA) are as good from what i have read. Of course if the disc is scratched really bad nothing will read/rip the disc.

I have a brand new DVD that my wife bought. I started with my BenQ 1655 no go. Then my Plextor 760A no go. Then my Lite-On 20A1P and 20A4P no go. Then i used my Samsung 183L and it didn't have any problem. DVD is the new Garth Brooks CD/DVD set. The CD's were easy but the DVD took some time to find a drive to read/rip it. I keep backups of most all my DVD's and CD's.

Are you reffering to the SH-S183L Samsung burner, if so it is really reasonable in price.

It's not the best writer but a good reader. The S203B or S203N are good at both reading and writing.

I believe he is it's just that the disc is scratched up. Unable to read/rip it.
