Thank you!

I've been having the same "Invalid page fault" error that
MooMooMooMoo reported in post #11 of this thread. The error
always occurs just after the "open source" routine starts on a
disc. I haven't checked whether it also happens when a folder is
used for the source. This happens with 5.0.0.0 Beta, 5.0.1.0 Beta,
5.0.1.2 Beta, 5.0.1.5 Beta, and 5.0.2.0. I've been exchanging
e-mails with support about this problem; the latest advice being
that the report had been forwarded to the tech team and to wait
for the new release.

I've also noticed that DVDFab Platinum, starting with 4.1.1.7
Beta, is very slow starting up, although I haven't actually timed
it. I could live with this, if it worked correctly after it did
finally get loaded.

I didn't bother to mention these problems on the forum because I
expected that that would just result in a flood of unhelpful and
often downright rude replies.

Also, for me, since 4.1.2.0, clicking on the "Select Image File"
button for the "Source:" fails to result in an "Open" dialogue
box.

For me, 4.1.0.2 is the latest version that really works
satisfactorily.

But note that I've never used any DVD to Mobile functions, Split,
or Merge, and have only rarely used Customize; I usually use
either Clone or Main Movie.

I'm using MS Windows 98SE.

I hope that you can continue to develop DVDFab to work with MS
Windows 98/ME.

Yep...
The "upgrade your outdated OS" people are rude/annoying as hell... and have created an uncomfortable elitist atmosphere here...

I wanted to add that your problems are the same ones that I've experienced... and that I'm also back to using 4.1.0.2...

I too think this is the reason many more people using Windows 98(other 9x too) haven't posted.
It's annoying having to defend the OS you are using just to get help for a problem.
Basically the "elitist " are saying "How dare you REALLY expect new software to work on you old OS even if it is listed in the system requirements".
This apparently is not the attitude of Fengtao who posted he is working on solving the problem. As he should be.
It's too bad a new clean topic can't be started on this without all the "elitist " crap. But the mods have said not to do that & I will respect their wishes.
I have two computers one with 98se & one with Vista.Believe me every software that is supposed to work with Vista hasn't.So having the newest OS isn't always a fix like the "elitist " indicate.
Now I'm going to brag on my old 98 computer. It is a 1999 IBM the OS is installed on the original 13GB HD I have added an 80GB slave HD.This is all this very stable running computer needs.I'm sure Vista wouldn't work on it & doubt XP would.98 matches its hardware & works well .That is my reason for still having 98 on it.It is my main DVD burning computer.I just load it up & let it work .Then I use the newer computer for other things.
