I have encountered a few problems with 3035.

First issues are backing up the movie Poseidon.

I rip the DVD to my hard drive with no issues. DVD Fab Plat 3035 cannot burn a DVD that has no visual artifacts (macro blocks) on playback from the ripped files but DVD Shrink and Nero burn a flawless DVD from the same ripped files. I guess the good news is that DVD Shrink worked with the files generated by DVD Fab Plat.

I am using Verbatim+R 16X discs with an LG GSA-H10L LL10 burner.


Next Issue is with MI:3.
I tried setting the "Select Write Speed" option of Fab. When the "Select Write Speed" dialog pops up the dialog is absolutely useless. The "Refresh" button doesn't work, and there are no entries in the write speed combo box.

Then I tried using Nero as the burning engine via DVD Fab. I keep getting "DVD burn failed" popup messages and the in the log I see the line "Task_2 failed! Error=16". Could the producers of DVD Fab PLEASE generate meaningful error messages????????? Could the producers also enable burning with Nero 6614???????


Edit: After getting the Task_2 message in the log I can no longer access the common settings dialog. I click on the "gear" icon and a submenu containing the words "Common settings" pops up. Clicking on the submenu does NOT invoke the settinga dialog. Also, why is there a submenu that has only 1 item? Seems redundant to me!

Still having issues with Nero 6614. 3035 cannot burn with Nero 6614.

Error=16 is a Nero code for function not allowed. I have not had any problems burning with Platinum or setting codes in common settings which are slowest, recommended, & Fastest. You need to set the common settings after upgrades & before starting. You can also check a box to ok the burning speed.
