FYI, relate experience with this backup....w/Express, selected main movie. However there were two main movie streams listed, off by a couple of minutes. Began the rip/backup of this stream(default) however at about 14 minutes into rip, there was no furthur progression. Ejected the source disc, but looked fine. I then repeated selecting the 2nd stream, which did indicate an english DD audio stream. Completed okay, but no audio on playback, CC only. The CC could be disabled, but there was no selectable audio stream via player! Repeated the process again on original main movie stream - and did rip/burn/play okay....I did nothing different as far as configuration hardware/software, but am thinking maybe a slight mar on disc that affected original process(wiped it first this time).....still think the 2 main movie streams was a little wierd, as both w/s, and although both indicated audio stream, one didn't rip with one!....take the default stream by Fab!!

I have run across the same problem on a few dvd's. I just rip the one that Fab Express has highlighted. When I do fast anaylsis using dvd shrink, it also shows the movie twice. Strange!!

I have also found this on several dvds. It is the same move pressed twice on the one disk. I have used the display button on the remote to toggle back and forth between the movies.

One is usually widescreen and the other fullscreen.

Right, often the case, but not here. The disc structure is a bit funky. On the thread below ~ 3 days ago, you can see that I had the same experience as larry (OP) describes here...only difference is both my rips were FS not WS. As rbrtpl described, "...title 1 is the regular movie, where title 2 is the alternate ending...", and title 2 is missing all audio stream(s).
