Re: Pioneer Dvr-530 Chapter Problem

Hi

I had the same problem. I contacted Pioneer, and despite what it implies in the manual, the auto chapter function only works when recording or copying onto dvd, not the hard drive.

Re: Pioneer Dvr-530 Chapter Problem

Hello, JABE.

I, too, have not been able to get the HDD auto-chaptering to work.

I also have a problem where DVDs (-R & -RW) recorded using the 530H, will not play back in other players. Yes, it's finalised!

My local Pioneer service centre believe I have a DVD writer fault.
My brother & I bought the same model at the same time and his recorder has an identical problem.

Batch issue? Software issue?

Re: Pioneer Dvr-530 Chapter Problem

Hi,

I have one of these wonderful Pioneer DVR-530H DVD Recorders.

With reference to the queries about auto chaptering, as with all the HDD recorders I have used, it's the dump to DVD Disc that auto chapters, not the HDD. My not so excellent as the Pioneer, Panasonic EH50 is the same.

The playing in other players problem, appears to me, to be that a 'First Play' PGC is not set on the disc. Meaning that you have to wait until it's loaded, then press Play or Top Menu. Mine play fine then on my stand alone player then. I'm thinking of writing to Pioneer Technical about this, as it threw me and I thought at first, that they didn't play.
