420H copy problem - Club CDFreaks

On my 420H, burning from hard drive to disc, I'm getting "cannot complete copy" after about one and a half minutes. The amounts of burn on each disc is the same. It will burn to a rewrite ok. Can anybody help or advise? Alan.

Same problem but on my 520H. Worked very well on TDKs for the past couple of years then suddenly would not write on them two weeks ago. Elsewhere in the forum people suggested to use Verbatim and Sony (made in Taiwan) dvds. Did that and still having the same problem. I have been flogging the recorder to death in the last couple of years and I have a feeling it has run its race.

But if anyone has some other suggestions I am all ears before purchasing a new recorder.
