Some Basic DVD Remake Questions...

This was recommended to me here for editing out commercials. I am going thru the demo version, looks pretty easy to cut commercials, but I have some questions.

I have a single burned DVD with 3 episodes of a show. I can cut the commercials, but can I go back and make a seperate title for each one so that I can select them from a menu on startup? Is the PRO version needed for this, or will the basic DVD Remake work? A quick guide on how to do this would be appreciated.

I have also broken out each episode into seperate directories using DVD Shrink. Can the basic DVD Remake put them together so that I can accomplish the same as above? Is the PRO version needed for this?

THANKS.

Re: Some Basic DVD Remake Questions...

Does this DVD already contain the menu to select each episode?

Since you reauthor each episode using DVDShrink, cutting the commercials, you will need DvdReMake Pro version to combine these 3 episodes with a DvdReMake default disk selection menu by using the Merge DVDs feature under Tools menu. The regular version can only merge up to 2 DVDs.

Note that after each episode plays, it will stop playing. This is normal as if you play the DvdShrink episode individually. There's a guide for the DvdReMake Pro version in the manual under Advanced Editing section that shows you how to make each episode plays one after the other. Check out also the Sticky List of Useful Topics for more helpful discussions. To access the disk selection menu, just press Title menu on the remote.

DvdReMake (Pro) can also cut out commercials by using the "Split here" and "Cut to here" method. In the Preview window, scroll to the beginning of the commercial, right-click and select "Split here". A new cell is created. Select this new cell and scroll to the beginning of the continuing episode and "Cut to here". Repeat for all commercials. This method will retain the original DVD structure without the need to use DvdShrink Reauthor mode.
