jump to vts causes stop I authored a new DVD in Muxman and it consists of one vts, which displays a bmp for 10 secs. This DVD runs fine in all my software players. What I am doing is to copy the VTS from this micro DVD to my main ripped DVD and to jump to it from the First Play if a register is not set to 1. I want to display an opening screen - "Welcome to Bob's house". In the copied VTS from the micro DVD, I set a chosen register to 1, display the bmp and jump back to the First Play. If the register is set to 1, I jump to the pre-existing code in the First Play. I have used this technique on dozens of DVDs so far and it has worked great. However on the current DVD, it does not work and I am totally baffled. If I export it as test and run the test DVD in PgcEdit, it works as I programmed it! But in a software or hardware DVD, it starts, then displays "Stop". In my new VTS, I have Menus with a Root menu with PGC1, PGC2, PGC3 and then also a Program Chain with a PGC1. In the root menu, my precommand is LinkPGC2 In that PGC2, my precommand is set the register to 1 I also have my bmp displayed there with a still time of 10 secs. The post command is Jump FirstPlay In FirstPlay I added at the top of the precommands: if register ==1, goto line 3 Jump VTS (new) root menu title 1 line 3 is the start of the pre-existing code. If I do a JumpFirstPlay right after setting the register to 1 in PGC2 of the root menu, my bmp is not displayed, but the movie starts up. If I remove this jump, the DVD player goes to a "Stop" state and I don't see my bmp. My bmp is defined as NTSC, wide screen, letterbox. The movie I am editing is the same. Any ideas? For now I left in the JumpFirstPlay in the VTS's root menu PGC2 precommand and although I don't see my cell, at least the movie plays.

Re: jump to vts causes stop Here is the only thing that comes to mind: If anything in VTS is played then this VTS should be listed in VMG titles. Make sure that your PGC (in VTS domain) has a program (may be with some blank cell), create a title with a chapter pointing to this PGC and finaly add this title to VMG Titles. Does this help?

Re: jump to vts causes stop This was exactly the problem. I added the title to the list of VMG titles and it works! Thanks! (Can you consider adding some way to identify used/unused registers like PgcEdit has? Now I go into PgcEdit to see if there are any free registers. If so, I use one, otherwise I resort to bit flipping - but I'd rather not go into PgcEdit at all anymore)
