How to Swap Audio & Subtitles from one video to another??? I hope I can do this in ReMake, I have pro and I am trying to reauthor the dvd for once upon a time in china 3 and it has two versions on it, one dubbed and one subbed, I hate dubbed stuff but the video quality is superior on the dubbed cut, is there any way I can delete the dubbed audio and move the cantonese audio/english subtitles to the nice video transfer? If this needs other software please explain what to do with that software also, I am slightly noob in the dvd authoring although I learn very fast.

Re: How to Swap Audio & Subtitles from one video to another??? You need other software for this. 1. Assuming that the video and the the play time are the same for both versions where the dubbed audio and the Cantonese audio really synchronizes the scenes, you would demux the video/audio/subtitle streams into elementary streams using PgcDemux. Do this for both versions and remember to put the demuxed streams into a separate folder so it won't be overridden. 2. Once done, use Muxman to mux the wanted elementary streams (dubbed video, Cantonese audio, English subtitles) back into VOB file. Import the CellTimes.txt for chapter creation as well (File -> Import Chapter). Play the file to see if it's syncrhronous. 3. Now import the newly muxed version into DvdReMake Pro as another project. Go to the VTS domain and Copy all the blocks (select first block, hold Shift, select last block, and Copy) in Domain Content Pane. 4. Switch to the original project, go to the subbed VTS domain and multi-select the same number of blocks and Paste. You may get a warning about different streams, just ignore it. Update the audio/subtitle track attributes accordingly (Cantonese audio/English subtitle) 5. Hide the dubbed VTS as it's not needed anymore. I think that should do it.

Re: How to Swap Audio & Subtitles from one video to another??? Thanks for the detailed instructions! Very helpful indeed! I will give it a go and let you know what happens. Quick question, are the settings in PgcDemux important? Does it matter if I am in PGC or VOB id mode? Thanks

Re: How to Swap Audio & Subtitles from one video to another??? I get this error with the Muxman program ![]() I did edit the video and audio because they did not sync up like you pointed out, I used Remake to cut off the beginning of the video and some ac3 cutting tool for the audio, any ideas? EDIT: it seems I have ran out of space on the drive so maybe that has something to do with it also >< stupid DVDs, I will keep ya posted Last edited by kalisto; 20-09-2006 at 04:56.

Re: How to Swap Audio & Subtitles from one video to another??? That error is pretty common. Did you check "Include end time" in PgcDemux? It should be unchecked. To fix this, remove the last line in celltimes.txt and remux again.
