Autoselect button but keep menu operational

Okay, I'm a newbie to DVDRemake, so I'm doing some experimenting and trying to figure this out.

I'm currently trying to backup my copy of XMEN 3, which just came out today. If you're not familiar with the menu, it starts up and you have a choice of "Take a Stand" or "Join the brotherhood." Both menus lead to similar main menus with different backgrounds and themes. I've already figured out how to autoselect one menu and have it go right to the main menu of my choice.

My question, however, concerns the special features, particularly the deleted scenes. The menu for the deleted scenes is 5 "blocks." The first block has several buttons, the first two of which are for the directory commentary "on" or "off" and the rest are for the deleted scenes, next page of deleted scenes, and so on. In order to operate this menu, you must first choose whether you want directory commentary on or off and then choose your deleted scene (or vice versa).

I'm trying to figure out how I can get it to simply bypass the DC altogether and simply play my prefered deleted scene with DC automatically set to "off" because I want to delete all DC on this disc. So, I should be able to select "features" from the main menu, then select "Deleted scenes" and then either pick one of the first three scenes or hit "next" and go to the next set of deleted scenes, pick a scene, and have it play automatically with no DC.

Can anybody help walk me through this? I've been playing around with the autoselect and edit button commands, but I really don't know enough about DVDRemake yet to say that I've been successful.
Thanks.

So basically you want to select a deleted scene but don't want to select DC "off", instead auto-select that button and play the deleted scene automatically. Do I get this right?

I can help you walk through if you load up the menus converted to still in DvdReMake with the audio disabled. Zip the IFOs and menu vob. And we'll go from there.

Okay, you want the full menu, with every "block" converted to still? I can do that, but how do I disable audio for the entire menu?

Yes, convert all menus to still (right-click on Menus domain). Select Menus domain, on the right side select Audio Tracks pane, right-click and select "Disable track in all PGC".

Re: Autoselect button but keep menu operational

Okay, I think i did that right. The file is here:

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=K92LMV8L

The PGCs I'm concered with are the PGC 42 series (5 blocks) and the pgc 44 series (10 blocks). I'm not sure what the difference is between them, but ideally I'd just like the "no" to commentary to be automatically selected so I could just choose the deleted scene of my choice, without having to hit "select" twice, once for the scene, once for commentary yes/no.

Thanks.

Re: Autoselect button but keep menu operational

I see only PGC 42,44,45 have 5 blocks in each of them. Each serves a different purpose depending on how you select it. When you select Deleted Scenes button, it'll go to PGC42 and highlight button 2 (DC Off). If you select any deleted scenes, it'll eventually go to PGC45 and highlight button 2. But if you select On/Off button, it'll go to PGC44 and highlight button 3. So let's simulate to automatically select the button.

1. In PGC42, right-click on button 2 in Preview window and select "Bypass menu (auto select button)". It'll automatically hide the menu and copy the button command to the Cell Commands pane.
2. Might as well hide programs 2-5 as these will never play.
3. In PGC44, hide buttons 1 and 2 (DC On/Off).
4. Hide all blocks in PGC45. They're not needed.
5. In PGC39, change line 6 pre-command to highlight button 5. This is for going back to the Special Feature menu from Deleted Scene menu.

If somehow when testing in software player that it just stops playing, probably it doesn't know how to handle cell command on a blank cell. In this case copy the cell command in step 1 and append it to the Pre Commands pane.
