Re: Someone Please Help PROBLEM when I go to the start menu like the directions stated here http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...os=228&lang=en I go there and then I go the start menu like it says but then it goes all programs, I go there, then it says CD (DVD) recorder now does that mean go to something that says that or since mine is Sonic does that mean select Sonic? Cause on my all programs menu there is not CD (DVD) burner.

First - Check for Updates - For Sonic - then proceed You may need to browse for the "Firmware Update Image" < Where ever you've saved it - or - I think I remember mine was already loaded for Sonic - ready to go anyway , yes , Open Sonic and Burn the Image to a CD-R/RW I'm sorry that HP's updates are such a pain For Sonic RecordNow! Version 6.5 or 6.7: 1. Click START on the taskbar, and choose All Programs, RecordNow!, and then click RecordNow! again - To Open SonicRecordNow! 2. In the RecordNow! application window, click the tab to view Backup Projects. 3. Click Burn Image. 4. Click Browse. 5. Navigate to the folder containing the update file (C:\SoftPaq\sp26625), select the sp26625.iso file and click ADD. 6. Insert the blank CD disc into the drive. 7. Click Burn and wait for RecordNow! to complete the update CD disc. 8. Leave the disc in the drive and restart the PC. 9. Follow the onscreen instructions to update the firmware. - I'll bet you'll never buy an HP Drive - that's for sure I know I won't ![]()

Re: Someone Please Help Yeah I know the media is questionable, but I ran out of the good one's so i'd figure I try and it does work I watched Da Vinci Code today. Something I am actually having recent trouble with is I keep getting errors when it is reading the disc stating that it suggests I restart my dvd encryption what shall I do.

DVD43 can be a little 'temperamental' for some First- Be Sure that ALL DVD/CD Related Programs are Closed Insert Disc in tray > Let DVD43 Decrypt ( Smiley Face gets Mad then turns Green ) Open your Computers DVD Player ( WinDVD/PowerDVD/etc ) View a little of the Movie : Menu > Play > Skip through a few Chapters /etc. Close your DVD Player this will insure - that Access to your DVD Source Drive - is not impeded > Now , Open 1Click ; Select your Options > and "Start' ____________________ and then .... Let's check something ..... Go to > Start > My Computer > Right Click on DVD drive > Properties > Auto-Play tab What do you have selected for the "Action to Preform" for 'Blank CD" ? This should be set as "Take no action" What do you have selected for the "Action to Preform" for 'DVD Movie" ? This should be set as "Take no action" OR Set only for your DVD Player ( WinDVD/PowerDVD ) - be sure to close your 'Player' before opening 1Click While here in the DVD Drive 'Properties" Do you have a "DLA" tab ? = Disable DLA and/or Do you have a 'Recording' tab ? = Disable "Desktop CD Recording" ___________________ Would you happen to have - Nero ( InCD ) or Roxio ( DragtoDisc ) - installed/active on your Computer ? ______________ Have you set the DVD Region in your "Source' DVD Drive ? >> Go to > Start > My Computer > Right Click on DVD Drive > Properties > "Hardware" Tab >> Select DVD Drive from listing > Click "Properties" Button > "DVD Region" Tab Is your proper Region - set for the Drive ? US = Region 1 ______________ If you suspect that you may have a "Bad" Source Disc .... Inspect the Disc and try cleaning it - even if it doesn't look like it needs it. If this doesn't prove successful ... Use the VSOInspector to scan the Disc ( it's Free ) http://www.vso-software.fr/products/.../inspector.php If the Inspector reports "READ Errors" Then you'll know that you've come across a "BAD" Source Disc . I would then suggest that you acquire a different copy ... and compare your results . __________________ and then ..... ... If All else Fails ...... Try AnyDVD Try using AnyDVD instead of DVD43 - as your decrypter AnyDVD has a free - 21 Day Free Trial - You have nothing to lose http://www.slysoft.com/en/anydvd.html DVD43 may be causing some issues for you DVD43 works great with 1Click - for most - but for a few others - it doesn't - the only way to know for sure is just to TRY AnyDVD Allow AnyDVD to Remove DVD43 upon installation ( You'll be Prompted ) It wouldn't be the first time ..... ![]()

No then , If you don't have a Specific "DLA" Tab - It's not there - I don't have one either You Could search= DLA , and see what is listed Some Sonic Applications - just don't include DLA Quote:
If you have a disc that's a problem - and the VSOInspector is reporting a 'problem' There is probably a problem A 'Good' Disc will report no errors - no problems What is the Title - of the 'problem' Disc ? Yes ! I use EnditAll a lot ! Great Program ! I use it every time I'm backing-up/Burning Definitely recommended Try using EnditALL while Copying/Burning ... to free up your resources P.S. - There is another Update for 1Click - 5.1.0.7 http://www.lgsoftwareinnovations.com/download.asp ![]() | ||

Re: Someone Please Help I have a question...okay so I have been downloadin' a lot more successfully now than I was in the past but this is a curiousity question. How come when I try to burn my Wedding Crashers movie it will fail at 18% which okay meaning the disc is scratched or something, but if I were to attempt to burn it again it would fail again but at 47% and all around there. So how is it getting passed the 18%?

Current Version is 5.1.1.5 http://www.lgsoftwareinnovations.com/download.asp Could you post the sessions of the failed "Wedding Crashers" attempts ? You should not be having trouble with the 'Wedding Crashers' Disc Did you clean the Disc ? Did you scan with the VSOInspector ? I would immediately suspect a 'bad' source Disc ( ? ) - especially if all/most other Movies are working well Have you tried AnyDVD's 21 day free trial ? I'm kinda wondering if AnyDVD - may be the better choice for you >>> Everything You Need to Know About 1ClickDVDCopy .... but Were Afraid to Ask .... <<<

Re: Someone Please Help Okay 1click is still not working, it will burn some movies even on the not so reliable media and others it will read but once I try to write it won't write and with newer movies even with AnyDVD it is saying error at all different kinds of percentage. Although many of those movies haven't passed the VSO test either. So does this sound like more of a computer problem rather than a software problem cause this is again fustrating.
