| Re: DVD Burning Problems with 1 click and nero HELLLPP! I have downloaded all 3 programs that you recommended. I have done something similar to cleaning up all the junk before but wasnt as easy as the WindowsCare program was. I did notice that I have a few nero things starting up with the computer and I quickly disabled them. I did the full cleanup with WindowsCare. I downloaded EndItAll but I didnt use anything because what I read seemed that I only needed to use it while I was burning a DVD. I also downloaded ImgBurn. (if my understanding of it is correct). I do not have any Roxio stuff on my computer I dont think. Unless it came with the computer software because I reformatted about six months ago and I am very aware of what I put on and take off! Hopefully all of this information has helped you to help me! Thanks for the links to much useful software. Hopefully we/you can find a solution soon! ![]() |

- sharing the drvmcdb - name (similar) If you removed this Driver File - Then Windows would not boot However - We the referencing drvmcdb Filter in your CD-ROM Drivers It's more likely that the presence of this Filter - if active - would cause the BSOD >> Create a backup of your registry > Open IMGBurn > Go to Tools > Filter Driver Load Order >> Select "DRVMCDB" > Click "Remove Selected Filter" >> Click "Remove Selected Filter" > Click "OK ". >> Reboot Keep in mind the programs that installed those filters will no longer work properly. | Re: DVD Burning Problems with 1 click and nero HELLLPP! Alright. I tried to delete the filter and then burn. Same error. I went ahead and ordered a 22x Lg Lightscribe off of the link you provided for like 28 bucks. Not bad. Thank you! Hopefully that will solve all of the issues. As soon as I get it, it will be in and I will let you know what happens! Thanks for all of your help so far! |

| Re: DVD Burning Problems with 1 click and nero HELLLPP! Alright, Got the burner and everything is in. Before I had a dvd burner and a cd rom drive. I removed the cd rom and took the older burner in its spot. Then I put the new one in on top. Ran the new one as the master and old one as the slave. Got an error again. Googled the error and found a quick fix by unplugging the slave (old dvd burner) and everything works perfectly. So all is good. It is near pointless to have another drive anyways because you cant do two things at once on this computer. Thanks for the link to that site in finding me a new drive for cheap. You're awesome! |

Excellent ! ![]() If you'd like , Please post the now successful logs for some 'follow-up" Using one drive is fine The only point in having Two Drives - Is one of convenience Using one Drive to read - One to Burn - means you can Place both the original and the Blank - and not have to swap Discs midstream In the Future , If you'd like to add another Drive I'd suggest getting a Samsung SH-202 to use as the Reader ( Samsungs are Faster readers than the LGs ) Your Issue with Both drives being connected - May have been simply that the HP 200 Drive was Bad You might also need a New 80 wire IDE Cable ( if you didn't replace the Old one ) The IDE cable may also be bad IDE Cables are cheap ($10.00+/- .... or less ) Were the Original Drives - Originally - set as Master / Slave ? - or - As Cable Select ? Your New LG GH22 is UDMA 4 Your Old HP 200 was UDMA 2 This also might present some Issues - being connected to the same IDE Your HP would have probably kept your GH22 at UDMA 2 Food for thought -anyway- You should love your LG GH22 I have one ![]() It's an excellent Burner 6/19/2008 7:53:27 AM info F8 key click: Open temporary log file 6/19/2008 7:53:23 AM info Copy completed. 6/19/2008 7:53:23 AM info Writer: Finalization Time 00:00:20 - Total completion time 00:05:54 6/19/2008 7:53:23 AM info Writer: WRITE SUCCESS 6/19/2008 7:53:03 AM info Writer: Write finished in 00:05:34 - Finalization start here. This shows that the ultra dma mode is 2. Who cares? It works and it burned it in 4 minutes! But anyways, I use WinAvi Converter to convert avi to dvd then burn with one click. Using Nero usually takes me pretty much all night to do! So I only do that if I am going to bed and dont plan on using the computer anymore that night! I have been reading that WinAvi is not the best for quality but it is for speed! I recently got ConvertXtoDVD and that did the whole process overnight. So that took forever too! WinAvi usually takes about an hour to convert. If this is the fastest converter out, in most instances, is the only way to speed it up to buy more ram. I was looking into getting another gig of ram since I have 512mb right now. So stuff doesnt run so smooth. I know I need a new computer since this one is WAY outdated. But it works pretty good. If ram is a good option of speeding up pretty much EVERYTHING on my computer, can you give me a link to some sites where I can find a gig for pretty cheap? I looked on new egg. BTW, its pc2100. If you dont do so much of the computer hardware as you do software, just let me know. But your help, or anyone's for that matter, would be much appreciated. Thanks for all your help! |

Yes , Definitely Add Some RAM It will help with everything on your Computer 512Mb is minimal I run 4 GB ( over-kill ) You can Go here : Scan your Computer the Scan will tell you : What you have > against > What you could have http://www.crucial.com/index.aspx?gc...20080519164222 ( I'm not recommending Crucial RAM necessarily ..... just using their scanner )Then .... Take the Scan Result Specs ... and Cross Reference here : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2DConfigurator ( Newegg has some really good Prices ) Your main concern about the Speed in the Conversion - Is your Processor The Faster the Processor - the Faster the Conversion Adding some RAM should help a little - As would closing any Unnecessary Background Programs ( EnditALL ) An Hour is Normal , I think - for this type of Conversion - even with the fastest CPUs You should also give 1ClickDVDMovie a try - see if it's any Faster http://www.lgsoftwareinnovations.com/1clickdvdmovie.asp There's a free Trial period Honestly , I don't mess with Downloads/Conversions I stick to the DVDs I can give you some Computer pointers - but I don't have any experience with the 'Conversions' Which - HP/Model : Processor/@spe |
