1Click DVD Copy problem (burning failed)
Hello all,

I purchased 1click over a year ago now, and using DVD43 have had no problems on my computer. My dad however has not been able to burn a single DVD yet with the same software. I keep getting a bad sectors error message. I just disabled the cprx protection and have already tried burning at a lower speed, but was unsucessfull. I am going to try now with the protection disabled but was wondering if anyone had any other ideas. I will post a log of the error as soon as I can.

Be sure that you're Using DVD43 3.9.0
Be sure that you have the most Current Version of 1Click
http://www.lgsoftwareinnovations.com/download.asp

If using DVD43
- It is Imperative that you have the latest version of 1Click
and the CPRx error correction MUST be enabled

I would really need to read a log
- to address your 'specific' Issue

I reloaded Windows this morning and just finished getting XP sp2 back on it, but I downloaded DVD43 and 1Click this morning so should have the latest versions. I re-enabled the CPRx and all of my burn attempts have had it enabled.

In some of the Logs Posted . I'm reading :
CPRx error correction enabled : FALSE

If using DVD43
It is Imperative - That you have 1Click's CPRx enabled

Right Click on the 1Click Interface > Settings Menu
Check= CPRx error correction enabled

If after enabling CPRx .... If you still read - this error :
Bad sectors starting at: 2466432 in Title 1

I might suspect that you may have a "Bad" Source Disc ( ? )
..... so let's get that - out of the way -

Inspect the Disc and try cleaning it - even if it doesn't look like it needs it.

If this doesn't prove successful ...
Use the VSOInspector to scan the Disc ( it's Free )
http://www.vso-software.fr/products/.../inspector.php

If the Inspector reports "READ Errors"
Then you'll know that you've come across a "BAD" Source Disc .
I would then suggest that you acquire a different copy
... and compare your results .

Go to > Start > My Computer
> Right Click on DVD drive > Properties > Auto-Play tab

What do you have selected for the "Action to Preform" for 'DVD Movie" ?
This should be set as "Take no action"
OR
Set only for your DVD Player ( WinDVD/PowerDVD )
- be sure to close your 'Player' before opening 1Click

While here in the DVD Drive 'Properties"
Do you have a "DLA" tab ?
= Disable DLA

- Nero ( InCD )
or
Roxio ( DragtoDisc )
- installed/active on your Computer ?


FAQ : Can other software conflict with the installation
and operation of 1Click DVD Copy?

First off thank you for trying to help me out. Below is the new part of my log only. Didn't want to repost the whole thing. Also this has happened with every source disk we have tried (About 15 or so). I am running the VSO Inspector now to check the disk, and will let you know when it finishes. Also I have no action selected, no DVD player service, and no DLA tab for the burner. I will go ahead with the firmware update.

I did have some problems with reading the disc. Iwill wait until I get home and switch out the source DVD and find out if that makes a difference.

Ok well I tried a brand new source disk and now there is a different problem. I get to 75% and get a burning failed do you want to try again error. Below is the error. It looks to me like it is the burner so I am going to try and replace the burner with mine for a test to rule out the drive. Any help is still appreciated.

Got it. Slowed down the burn speed again to 8x and it worked. Thanks so much.

Now that I've actually been able to read the Burn part of your Session ,
here's some follow-up ......

Since You are using -Rs ( DVD dash Rs )


Right Click on the 1Click Interface > Settings Menu

>>SET= Your "DVD-R Write Mode" at "Try SAO First"


>>Set= Your "Preferred Burn Speed"
- at 1/2 of your Media's rating
ie: IF You're using 16x Media = Set for 8x ; 8x Media = Set for 4x

..... or 12x ...then .... if that's working for you
- Instead of MAX

.... if you haven't , already .....
