Re: 1 Click Is A Joke

I have been using 1Click since Dec 2003, have reinstalled it several times on several old and a few new computers; have emailed their tech support asking for resets on registration and have always received an answer within hours and they have always reset for me.

Use their forum, perhaps you are missing something and will find help their, several of their tech support folks and the author of the program visit it daily and provide help when needed.

By the way, the Pro version of 1Click is now available and it is quite remarkable, I was one of the beta testers for it and it is by far my transcoding backup option of choise, encoding I still use DVDRebuilder Pro for.

Most of the problems folks were having with 1Click was actually a problem with the Patten Coffin drivers from VSO but that has been fixed by VSO and the Pro version uses an embedded DLL so you do not even have to install copytodvd anymore.

Give them another try and make it a brief message, not long winded.
1 click is a great product, and the active forum members are second to none.

Re: 1 Click Is A Joke

I'll try to be concise.
Have been using DVDDecryptor (DVDD) and Roxio Easy CD Creator V7 (Roxio) to burn the Dvds for a couple of years to copy an occassional DVD, either because they were my own or I was going to be late getting them back to the rental store.

DVDD failed trying to decrpyt "The Cave" (Sony Publishers) with an error on the first VOB file three times. I had this same problem a couple of months ago and figured big deal, but the second one (the cave) caused me to reconsider so I bought 1Click, downloaded the free decryptor driver and thought I was in fat city.

Ha-ha. Turns out that I churned out 5 coasters before I realised that 1Click and the driver weren't telling me that the copy process failed. I'm not the brightess bulb in the hallway, but it seemed to me that the DVDD failure and failure of 1Click were related.

So, the question(s) become - where is the fault? Is the driver masking the fault or is 1Click ignoring it? If it's the driver, is there a better one? Given my infrequent usage, I don't want to spend a lot of money on this.

By the way, I think the user interface sucks (to use the current idiom). I could do a better job in my sleep.

If you were as intelegent as you think, you would have fixed your problems while sleeping! If you can do a better job in your sleep then make a new interface, Hell for that matter Mr. smarty pants why don't you make a new burning product and post it here and we can all rate your capabilities.

Personally I think to come here and ask for help and then to cut up the product, means you suck (to use the current idiom).

Have a wonderful day Jackass!

Re: 1 Click Is A Joke

1Click's user interface is exactly what it was intended to be. Simple. If you want something else try the Pro version or another product.

Your basic problem is you are using DVD43. It doesn't keep up with the variations in Sony's protection scheme. DVDDecrypter doesn't handle Sony Arcoss at all. AnyDVD, on the other hand, does, and keeps up to date. If you hunt around you'll find $10 discounts on AnyDVD. Why don't you sleep on it?

4Hams, as always, you state your position very clearly. Love ya for it.
