ratDVD Forum Discuss, RatDVD and HTPC at Copy Movie forum; I'm using myHTPC (now Meedio) and Girder and would like to figure out a way to integrate RatDVDs to play within it. I'd love to use VLC but they haven't supported it yet and judging by the legal threats and lack of development there, may never. Moopeg

RatDVD and HTPC

I'm using myHTPC (now Meedio) and Girder and would like to figure out a way to integrate RatDVDs to play within it.
I'd love to use VLC but they haven't supported it yet and judging by the legal threats and lack of development there, may never.
Moopeg player works fine but the big problem I'm running into is that you can only navigate the menus by the mouse. I've created a hokey way of doing this by simulating mouse movements on my remote (with Girder) but would love to be able to navigate the menus by the keyboard. Has anybody come up with a way of doing this? It seemed so simple, yet at the moment, RatDVD does not appear to support keyboard control of the menus.
Any suggestions?

I Use meedio also and i have exactly the same problem.
RatDVD files play fine with the Meedio player buildin but i cant control Menu of RatDVD files with my remote control and girder. just because we cant navigate in RatDVD menu files with Cursor key (who nows girder understand what i wrote )
Then i thing it's not so hard to implement in RatDVD 'codec' the control by cursor key and not only by mouse......
I have write a lot of post to ask that but... no answer
Anyway, if anybody have an idea about this ?....

Re: RatDVD and HTPC

Im using meedio as my main system, no girder since im using my keyboard and what not, but first how are you playing the files? DVD?

If your using dvd player you can set up custom graphs which would allow you to use the rat navagator. Still all this crap is to much work LOL!
