Created first .ratDVD - but it won't play (even in RatDVD) - Club CDFreaks

Apart from having upgraded to Media Player 11, I don't see what I'm missing.

I feel like I wasted several hours of my life on this. I was very hopeful though.

Media Player Classic says "cannot create dvd navigator filter" - I tried about 10 previous versions to back before RatDVD was created and none played, although some played what appeared to be a DVD's worth of randem audio in one slider. Every version has the navigation tab greyed out.

Media Player 11 plays the opening menu audio with no picture.

RatDVD's "play" button is grayed out.

Any ideas?

If you created a ratDVD file. you cant play it. its just like zipping a file. you can execute it unless its decompressed. this is just a compressing tool.

Oh!! Well, schucks. My bad.

I thought it was supposed to be possible to play the .ratDVD file directly - and as such it would be a nice way to backup the highlights of one's DVD collection to one's harddisk. There's no way to uncompress on-the-fly, eh?

Bummer.

Sorry for the tone of my previous message - I was a bit flustered at the time; and only partially due to my misunderstanding of RatDVD.

cuz your video sizes down to half.
