Whats your favorite SafeDisc reader/burner?

Well my Lite-On 1693s isn't working for safe disc reading anymore, allthough im not sure why.It happened when i reflashed the firmware.Even flashing back to the stock firmware has'nt resolved my problems. So i thought i would just buy another DVD burner,i needed another one anyway. So can anyone from experience recomend a burner that will not fail to give me a good
SafeDisc image?I use Alcohol to create my game images, and Clone DVD for my movie images. Was thinking about either a Ben Q or Samsung.
BTW,what are the chances that my troubles are DRM related?I have a Pentium D on an ASUS P5WD2 Premium with Intel 955X chipset.I'm wondering if a recent Windows update could have "awaken" the DRM technology seeing that i used to be able to successfuly create SafeDisc images without any trouble.A long shot i know but im trying to figure out where my problems have come from. Thanks for any help or recomendations you guys
can give me.
best regards,
Scott

Re: Whats your favorite SafeDisc reader/burner?

UPDATE: To be sure the burner was faulty i took it to my brothers house and installed it on his machine. After trying to make a backup of both Mechwarrior 4 Mercs and BF2(using the same latest version of Alcohol)i have concluded that it's a drive gone bad. What puzzles me however is that it still burns both cd and dvd media just fine.It seems to no longer be a 2 sheep writer however,
anyone got an idea why?

Had excellent results with my plextor premium. Problem: only with CD´s as the premium is a cd-rw burner.
