dvd-burner

Hey,

I'm looking for a new dvd burner.
He should be able to read and write dvd-/+r, dvd-/+rw, cd-r, cd-rw.
And read normal cd's and dvd's off course.
Able to write dvd-rams would also be good.

I know plextor is good, but expensive and I think they don't write dvd-rams.

I was thinking on the nec 4550. But my last nec had some reading trouble sometimes (I have seen on the fourm that I'm not the only one) and I'm not certain that nec has solved it?
For the rest I had no problems with my nec.

Which would be the best burner for me the nec 4550 (if reading is ok) or an other one?

Re: dvd-burner

Don't they put a headphone connector and volume control on new drive anymore?
