how can i tell if my burner can burn duel layer dvd
i think it is nec 3500ag

If it is a NEC 3500, it definitely can burn DVD+R DL discs (4x speed max).

However, if you have Nero installed, you can use Nero InfoTool to show you the formats your burner supports.
