Burner User Reviews and Comments Discuss, CD/DVD burner for HTPC..... at CD and DVD Burners forum; First post newbie so I'm building a HTPC and looking for a CD/DVD burner. CD/DVD playback quality most important and s/b able to play bad discs. Burning and Ripping s/b decent but will rarely do either. Must be short (170mm length). Reasonably quiet. Any recommendations?

CD/DVD burner for HTPC.....

First post newbie so

I'm building a HTPC and looking for a CD/DVD burner.

CD/DVD playback quality most important and s/b able to play bad discs.

Burning and Ripping s/b decent but will rarely do either.

Must be short (170mm length).

Reasonably quiet.

Any recommendations?

Started with burning capable optical drives (CD-R) in 1997.
Bought optical drives from AOpen, HP, LiteOn, NEC, Philips, Pioneer, Plextor, Ricoh, Samsung, Sanyo, Toshiba and Yamaha.

Enable DMA with micrAp$0ft Enable DMA free at your will busTRACE => Upper/Lower Filters Util

***HOW TO ... Delete the Upper & Lower Filters!***
