Now that I've got LG GSA-4120B (Latest Firmware) and Poineer DVR-111D (111L 8.26). I've tried to bitsetting a DVD+RW with "DVDBitSetter 2.1.13" but it won't let me do it with Pioneer and the software crashed with LG GSA-4120B. Is there any other program that I can try. Thanks for any help.

Re: BitSetting - Please Help

The Pioneer doesn't allow bitsetting, it's automatic only ( for +R & +R DL media).

The LG , I think, will not allow bitsetting for +RW media.

Does the Pioneer auto bitsetting to DVD-R or DVR-ROM ?

Sorry to barge in. Nothing can bitset to -R, only to -ROM.

An old Nu/Benq burner can, but only by violation all rules and by using bugged firmwares...

Re: BitSetting - Please Help

I've got an old Toshiba DVD Player which I paid $1800 does not read Jet Sh!t. Hoping that the bitsetting of DVD-RW, DVD+RW to DVD-ROM would start it up as it squeezes out pretty good picture quality with many extra function that ain't in the modern Players.

Re: BitSetting - Please Help

You can only bitset + formats to DVD-ROM. Pio111 wont bitset +RW, just +R and +R-DL.

I've burned to DVD-RW & DVD+RW disc last night and then viewed it through DVDInfoPro, it shown the media info of both media for DISC TYPE, BOOK TYPE still remain as DVD-RW & DVD+RW respectively.

Re: BitSetting - Please Help

Bitsetting is like a last chance if it is supported. And the general rule is Booktyping is for +R/+RW/+R DL media only.
