Burner User Reviews and Comments Discuss, Best Performing Lightscribe DVD burner at CD and DVD Burners forum; Hey all. I was just wondering if there was a most excellent DVD burner that also has the capability of doing lightscribe. I'm talking about fast read/write speeds for all types of media, and really impressive Lightscribe picture quality. Thanks

So far only BanQ 1655 that most people recommended.

Re: Best Performing Lightscribe DVD burner

I have a Lite-On SHM-165H6S. Great drive, $30-$35 and if you install the Contrast Enhancement Utility from the Lightscribe site, it helps recover the quality that is lost by default with the new 1.2 version Lightscribe media.

I am not a big fan of the way Lightscribe looks on DVD media, due to the plastic layer between the top of the disk and the label layer, nor am I a big fan of how freakin' long it takes. But if you don't mind those things, more power to ya.

This depends on where you live. Why not check with your local stores first before paying for postage ordering online.
