| Being picky about a new drive I need a new drive for a new build and my beloved 1640 is no longer. From what I've read so far, the current fav's are the Liteon 20A1H, Pioneer 112D, Samsung 812 and possibly the LG H42. I need the drive to meet the following criteria: Great DVD+R burn quality on top media(hopefully close the BenQ standards) Excellent CDR burn quality on top media Quality Scanning. This drive will be solo in a machine. Hopefully speedy quality scanning too. Lightscribe would be nice but not necessary. Thanks in advance for your input. |

| Re: Being picky about a new drive  Yes, I think the Pio 112D for burning, the LiteOn 20A1H for scanning.The Pio 112D is closer to BenQ quality for burning than the LiteOn IMHO.
