Asus 1814BLT or Lite-On 20A1H?

Ok I am pretty sure I know the answer to this... the Lite On right?

Well my local retailer stopped carrying Lite-On (everyone in this city are a bunch of hacks) but they just got in the Asus 1814BLT. So should I get the Asus or go through the trouble of ordering the Lite-On online? (ok its not that much trouble but still...)

My recent Lite-On drives have been having problems reading some newer DVD's (movie DVD's) which my Plextor 716SA has no troubles with. Other then that I have not had any problems with them. Also have had problems with the Lite-On's and DOA's and flaky drives (had to replace one 3 times before I got a good one) and am wondering if there is known issues with the Newer lite-on's or if I just have bad luck and still should definitly get the Lite-On over the Asus...

Probably bad luck... my 2 month old 755SA died last week on teh same day as my 1 month old Klipsch Promedia Ultra 5.1's....
