Hi everyone, Im new here and absolutely overwhelmed by all the info one could find in this forum. However I couldn't quite find or understand the nature and causes of the problem Im having with my cd/dvd writer, after examining a few similar cases. And the problem is basically it just doesn't want to write/burn any brand of cd/dvd anymore . It worked just fine for little more than year and recently developed that problem. Im sure its not the media brands as I've tried with many. The problem persists with Nero, Alcohol120%, MagicISO, PowerISO, Burn4Free, no matter what I try to burn- ordinary data, programs or images. Here Im giving an example and also supply both logs further below. I try to burn an image on CD-R using Alcohol and then burn data on another CD-R with Nero. Note that Im able to write with Alcohol successfully but there's actually nothing on the CD and Nero burns the data also but fails to verify afterwards and gives an error. Writing on DVD R/RWs is completely unsuccessful creating coasters. I have ASUS A6KM notebook. Thanks and any help given is much appreciated!!
